I am not the biggest fan of travel. What a shocker, right? I mean most people want to travel all over the world. Not me. I like being in a foreign country, but the process of getting there is not that easy for me and my stomach. While I am not afraid of flying, I feel like going mad after a couple of hours and as for my stomach, I tend to get a bit sick when switching foods. So that is an immense joy…
However, there are some places I haven’t been to yet that I really want to visit. Here are some of them.
It might sound quite random, but I assure you it is not. My grandmother and great-grandmother would watch telenovelas when I was really young and that is how I learnt to speak Spanish quite fluently. Most of those TV programmes were from Argentina and I became fascinated with the culture and how distinct it is from that of all the other Spanish speaking countries in Latin America.
I wanted to see more of Russia as it absolutely huge. I doubt I will ever see all of it though, but then again I do not want to either. For me the country will always have a special place in my heart as some of the most important people for me live there. That is not to say that the culture and the people are not fascinating.
I always found Portugal an interesting destination. The country is so small and yet, has amazing views. It is often forgotten, but yet, it is rising as one of the superpowers of the entrepreneurial world due to their amazing ecosystem.
This is a country I have been postponing for various reasons. I always managed to find an excuse and go somewhere else and not because I did not want to go there. The main reason I set it aside so to speak, was due to the fact that I was certain I would end up studying for my master’s degree in Barcelona. And yet, when it came to applying, I never did. Still time to visit the beauty that is Spain.
So close, and yet so far away. Another country that I have been considering for my postgraduate studies and yet I never ended up going or applying. I love the history and the how resilient the people are. They fight for what they hold dear and have been for a long time. The scenery also promises to be breathtaking so for me that is yet another reason to not miss it.
This is getting old by now, but yet another country I wished to study in. I mean, how could I not? Denmark is one of the happiest places on Earth. It has an amazing capital and there is even one place by the sea where you can two seas touching and never mixing. I mean, how cool is that? Also, it is the home of Flying Tiger which is like the quirkiest store ever!
Considering what I mentioned above, this is going to a tough one. If I ever end up visiting, I will probably stay there for a while, a long while. Making the plane journey for me would be excruciating. Flying to LA was horrible, but this? Even more so. Now, Quantas has the super amazing straight flight from London which is probably a great thing for many and especially for driving tourism is some other areas of Australia, but that is one flight I would never go onto. 17 hours? no way. I would rather stop in Dubai, because yes, I would be flying from Europe in any case. Anyway, enough about the excruciating long flight. I do want to visit it because I heard so many great things about it, plus it seems that it has some of the greatest places for surfing in the world which I must check out!
Anyway, this is part of my list. Hope you enjoyed learning more about me. How about you?
