Growing up I have never been interested in food, like at all. I could not even be bothered to eat as I was more interested in playing than taking time off from my favourite activity. Now things have changed a bit, but still I am no cook. I rarely if ever cook, but that does not mean I do not eat home made food quite often. However, I did discover that I have an interest in desserts. I don’t make these just for myself as that would be crazy, but I love surprising loved one with something extra to add to a special meal. Here are some of my favourite recipes.
Growing up I heard so much abut these, especially from one of my favourite TV series. However, until early this year, I had no idea what they actually were. It quickly became one of my absolute favourite recipes. The cookies are so soft and yet crunchy. They do require quite a bit of sugar so I do not make them often, or better yet attempt to make them often, but I love them! The reason why I said attempt before is due to the fact that more often than not, I fail at making them. Sometimes I end up with a crunchy golden goo which is not really how they are supposed to look like. I am not meant to have this type of cookie often, but luckily they take less than an hour to make.
2. Salted Caramel Brownies
Now, think brownies with an extra flair. These brownies are pretty great and so easy to make. The recipe is not all that different from your usual brownies, but for those that find brownies a bit too chocolaty, this is the perfect recipe for you. Also, they are greta to serve at parties.
3. Red Velvet Whoopie Pies
I love red velvet anything really! I know, I know. I try not to think about it because if I do, I cannot eat them anymore and I know just how much of a controversial ingredient it is the one that gives these desserts their colour. But what can I do? I just love them a bit too much, however for the previously mentioned reason, I usually eat red velvet something only a couple of times per year. Anyway, these Whoopie Pies are moist and soft and not that difficult to make. These are perfect for when you have children or older relatives coming to visit. My grandfather absolutely loves them because of how easy they are to eat.
4. S’more Pie Pops
S’more Pie pops are most likely one of the easiest and quickest desserts you could ever make! They are also perfect for kids and quite fun to eat. I am a huge s’more fan so yeah, no extra explanation needed there. If you have kids or someone that age coming to visit, make sure to make some of there. I guarantee they will love them. You will love them as well!
5. Sugar Cookie Truffles
Again, another crazy easy dessert you must try. These cookie truffles make the perfect party serving and they take you almost no time to make.
These are just some of my favourite delicious delights that I try to make whenever I can. I definitely recommend you try them as well as after all, desserts are the way to someone’s heart whether a business partner, a friend or potential SO. Enjoy!
