Glossier’s Stretch Concealer might just be the best concealer on the market

Finding a good concealer is no easy task and for that reason I was incredibly surprised when I found one. Glossier’s Stretch Concealer might be not just a good concealer, but one of the best ever created. I realise this might be strange, especially coming from me. In the past I have expressed my negative opinion on the products that Glossier has come out with, but not the brand! If interested, you can check out my review of the very much coveted Solution by Glossier, an acid based substance meant to improve the texture of your skin, among other things. However, there is a reason why the brand is so famous so it cannot be all bad, right?

What is so special about Glossier’s Stretch Concealer?

At first glance, Glossier’s Stretch Concealer might not seem much. Of course, the brand is well known for its marketing campaigns and incredibly appreciated packaging, and this product does not disappoint. However, what makes this concealer different than other such products on the market is its elasticity. Glossier’s Stretch Concealer is an incredibly elastic product, all due to a mix of micro waxes. These make the concealer seem more natural and helps it settle better on the skin, rather than making it painfully visible that it is there. The micro waxes help the concealer become part of the skin rather than make it sit on it. Furthermore Glossier’s Stretch Concealer also includes a series of oils that allow you to achieve a dewy and glowy look rather than a matte, flat one. This is more about personal preferences I know, but it does give you a more natural look while also achieving a much desired nearly flawless look. As you probably spotted above, I mentioned nearly flawless skin. Glossier’s Stretch Concealer is not very thick which is what makes it look so natural. Being so lightweight, it is not easy to cover every single blemish entirely. For me at least is not possible, but then again I get really angry spots so this is something to keep in mind. However, I do not mind. While I do like to cover some of the imperfections, I also like to have a more natural look. If you do want a stronger coverage than you can apply a second layer.

The reason why Glossier’s Stretch Concealer is a must have

If you are not convinced so far as to why you need Glossier’s Stretch Concealer then read the following paragraphs. While the above section does touch upon some of the reasons why the concealer is so good, it can also be read like a list of features and we don’t want that. Features are just features, benefits are what matter the most. Without further ado, the reason why Glossier’s Stretch Concealer is a must have product is not only due to its ability you help you achieve a natural look, but also due to the fact that it does not cling to your every line. It might seem such a small thing, but to me that is everything. I stay away from concealers in general as they usually cling to lines I did not even know I had. They emphasise all the wrong features and no setting powder can truly salvage the situation. Here I am not only talking about drugstore products as you all should know by now that I have a soft spot for all high end products as well. That is definitely not the case when it comes to Glossier’s Stretch Concealer. Here you have it. This is the reason why spending £15/$18 is totally worth it.

Other notes on Glossier’s Stretch Concealer

If you have a look at Glossier’s website, you can clearly see on the product’s page that there are only a few colours available. In fact there are only 5 shades which is a big no-no in general. However, in this case due to the light-weight as well as buildable qualities of the products, these few colours should work for nearly everyone. Once again, I must stress that in general I am against not having a full shade range, but in this case it seems to work. Hopefully you can now see why I am so in love with Glossier’s Stretch Concealer. Please keep in mind that this is coming from someone who is not a die hard fan of the brand’s products so my opinion is not in any way influenced by what I thought of other products from Glossier.

Hmm, favourites? Not that many sadly. I like the fragrance, but the solid one is not really worth it. The Solution is effective, but not I feel like it is a bit too much for my skin. The priming moisturiser makes me break out. The mist does not do anything at all. The shower oil is pretty okay, but it has a faint lavender scent combined with something else that is not very appealing. It smells like it wants to be fragrance free in a way, if that makes sense. But it is an okay purchase. The body cream is okay as well, it is very similar to the shower oil, but it is an actual cream. It is a bit ticker than some other products on the market, but it is not quite a butter. It is nourishing, but you need to reapply daily. If you apply to much then it rubs off. The generation G lipstick is like a wax crayon in my opinion. It is an interesting sheer matte though, so quite different than your typical matte lipstick. The face masks are nice, but a bit expensive for what they are – nothing special. The nourishing one is the best of the two. As for the serums, I haven’t tried them. However, I would like to try the Niacimide one, but the Ordinary one works and that is way cheaper so that kinda puts me off. I think I covered everything I got from them. Oh, the cotton pads are nice as well, but hen again you can always get some at your local supermarket/drugstore. I haven’t ordered from them in a while so I don’t have the latest releases. The one intriguing product is the zit market, but I cannot comment on it. 🙂 hope this helps.

You should definitely do that. Those are my personal opinions based on my preferences and skin type, but for every single one of us is different. Hope you do find something you like.
