First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

I am no stranger to First Aid Beauty, but I have to admit that I do not have the kind of experience with the brand that I wish I had. I have been meaning to get some of their products to try, but no dice. The only products I tried have been included in beauty advent calendars in 2017 and in 2019.

My limited experience with the brand might play a huge role into why I did not take a leap and purchased more products from the brand. You can see below why.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Review

The Ultra Repair Cream from First Aid Beauty is the very first product I tried from this brand. I have seen photos of First Aid Beauty products on so many Instagram accounts and I thought wow! The products looked very appealing and people seemed to be obsessed with the brand, as they do on IG. I find myself repeating this last statement so many times throughout my articles which clearly shows how social media influences our lives even if we do not want to let it or perhaps realise it.

Anyway, back to the cream. The Ultra Repair Cream from First Aid Beauty is such an affordable product and promises to do so much. Plus, the product has quite a lot of fans out there thus why I wanted to write this review and see whether I felt the same. You know that I m way more critical when it comes to the products I use…Just because everyone loves something does not mean I will, you know? You sure do. However, I did hope that this product would prove to be a great addition to my hand care routine.

My skin cracks incredibly easy. I mentioned this time and time again. It used to crack from the detergents and disinfectants used in my labs. My skin looked so red and irritated. While that problem did not go away completely even now that I no longer enter a lab, it is still not back to its previous form. Now my issues concentrate on a finger. I wash my hands too often and it shows. I just cannot help it and especially at this time.

I guess it is pretty obvious why I try so many hand creams and why I need something that works.

When I first tried the Ultra Repair Cream from First Aid Beauty, I loved it and hated it at the same time. I loved the texture and how nice it felt on the skin. I also loved the fact that it did improve the skin on my hands and my redness went away, at least part of it did. However, the fragrance of this product is unbearable. The fragrance is from the ingredients and does not come from an added fragrance, but it is still noticeable and it smells like so clinical. It makes me think of a hospital for some reason and I dislike that.

Now, now I have a need for this cream even more so I decided to give it another try. My thoughts have changed slightly. I still dislike the fragrance, nothing has changed on that front. However, the difference is that now I am willing to get past this fact and continue to use the product. As I wash my hands more often, as one should, my hands need the level of hydration this cream from First Aid Beauty can provide.

Another thing you should know is that you can use this cream on other parts of your body as well. It is supposed to work on your face and body. It is not just for your hands. It is safe to say that I was not blown away. You might know how my experience with a multi rescue cream ended in the past and this is no different.

The moment I applied the Ultra Repair Cream from First Aid Beauty on my face, I felt like taking it off immediately. The scent of this cream is even more noticeable like this, obviously! The next thing was that my foundation would simply not sit on my face the way I was expecting it to sit, but that is probably not as important. Th idea is for the cream to help the skin rather than make your makeup look flawless, but still… I wanted to prolong the experiment, but I could not. This cream will never go on my face again. Not only it id not help my dry patches, but the cream, left my face feeling greasy and it was not supposed to do that.

In time of need, the Ultra Repair Cream can prove to be an asset, but if you have an alternative that works and you like then maybe stay away from this product. I honestly do not know what to tell you on this occasion. This is after all a cream that does its job and does it well. It is also one of the few alternatives for people suffering from skin conditions. I just cannot whole heartedly recommend it though. It is up to you.

    1. It did help on my hands, but not on my face. I do have mainly oily skin though. The cream just sat on my face sort of. On my hands it worked. Hope this clarifies. Thank you for stopping by!
