Hello again. Here I am back with new info regarding another beauty advent calendar, probably the most desired beauty advent calendar. I do know this one I have not skipped out on since I first discovered it in 2017. Today I am going to talk about the Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar for 2020.

How much is the Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar worth?
It seems that Liberty listened to our complaints and this year they increased the value of the beauty advent calendar. We all know that last year, it was not the greatest calendar even though we had been expecting it. The 2020 beauty advent calendar from Liberty has a value of £789 which is significantly greater than that of last year’ calendar as you can see here.
How much will the Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar set you back?
The Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar is priced at £215, same as last year. Really happy to see that the price remained the same given that this is so not the year for their prices to go up.

Okay, so let’s talk about the contents of the Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar. At a first glance, I spot the same brands as in previous years. Of course, there are a few exceptions, but still the brands providing the contents are more or less the same. In addition. I spotted the makeup bag which comes in the classic Strawberry Thief pattens. That was included in the first calendar that I got from Liberty back in 2017 and the pattern was on the interior of the box as well. I really hope they will do something different this time around and not reuse last patterns, unless they already had the boxes in their inventory from years ago. Just thinking of those keeping all the boxes for storage or crafts! I just threw mine out btw. I have been holding onto them for way too long.
Okay, so in terms of contents, the items seem nice. However, I am not obsessed with any of the products. There isn’t anything I cannot wait to try from the list.. Last year, they included the high value items in the Other Calendar (review here) rather than the beauty one (review of the 2019 Beauty Advent Calendar from Liberty).
However, that does not mean this is not a good calendar. The contents are pretty great actually, but perhaps not for those such as myself that already got the calendar several years in a row. I am simply not that excited to give this one a try since I already have tried most of the items or still have some of them around, especially after the release of their A/W beauty gift with purchase earlier in the year.

All the signs in the sky are pointing to me skipping that one. I like most of the products but similarily to you nothing makes me feel like I wouldn’t wait to get it. And the real full size highlights (15 ml perfume I don’t consider full size, for me it’d be 50 ml, just because a mini or deluxe version is available in regular retail doesn’t make it full size, I find Liberty’s pitch to be misleading) are the items I’d be looking for to gifting away (QMS, Margaret Dabbs and Hourglass). Pity this year’s lifestyle/men calendar not only has a much lower price / value ratio but also looks less fab. I was looking forward more to this one.
The Other calendar from last year seemed amazing at first. However I grew more discouraged the more I tried the products. Some were amazing but the ones that made up the huge value were close to their end date or there was something wrong with them. The night cream worth £195 started smelling off in just a couple of months…. not OK. This one, I was no thank you and the more I look at it, the more anxious I get 😆 I kinda want it now but hopefully the courier does not get lost and brings me all my UK shopping in the next couple of hours so that I get distracted. Just like you mentioned and I mentioned even in the article, nothing is really that exciting. Just the idea of having one more calendar to open. 🙂
