I am back with a second post from this series. If last time we talked a bit about the most popular articles in the “need to now” category, this time we are going to have a quick look at the most popular reviews.
By far the most popular review was the one for the Skin Research Youth Peptide Day Cream. This is such an unexpected and yet expected finding. I mean, I knew that it was quite popular last year as well so I was expecting it to do well, but I still do not know why. The product is definitely not heavily advertised, but maybe that is exactly why? Anyway, the product itself was interesting and loved using it.
The second most popular review was that of the Jeffree Star palette that he created with Morphe. The palette is super colourful, highly pigmented for the most part and quite easy to use no matter the skill level. It also provides quite a bit of colour, particularly of happy colours so I can understand why it was so popular. Plus, the palette was on sae quite a few times throughout the past year so maybe that influenced its popularity quite a bit.
Another popular product was the ELF Poreless Putty Primer. This is one of my to-go-to primers, but one I have not used in over 10 months for obvious reasons. I kinda love the no makeup look at the moment, but I am pretty confident this is the makeup primer I will use if I start wearing foundation again. It feel nice on the skin and does a pretty good job, but it might take a little bit to get used to wearing it due to its unfamiliar texture.
This is a surprise. I posted the review of this Deciem product sometimes in summer last year and yet it made its way to the top quite fast. I see that not only The Ordinary is popular despite rarely having seen people, or the press for that matter, talking about other Deciem brands than the Ordinary or NIOD. I recommend you check out the review if you have not read it already!
Another product that made its way to the top is the Milk Makeup Kush Lip Balm in Plushberry. I am quite surprised to see this product in the list given that tinted lip products were not a priority in 2020, but I am happy nonetheless. I have a strained relationship with Milk Makeup, but this is my favourite product from them.
