Top 5 of Your Favorite Products

I decided to switch things up for a change. Instead of talking about the latest product I tried or share with you a new launch, I decided to go over the stats from last year and see which products you seem to purchase the most from the stuff I mentioned here in the past.

Are you ready?

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation

The Nars Sheer Glow Foundations seems to be the absolute most popular item that I shared on this blog. You purchased it 7 times in 2020 using one of my links. Honestly, I am really happy to see this item at the top of the list, but also quite surprised. I am surprised because I have not reviewed it in full, but glad cause this is my absolute favourite foundation on the market.

The Nars Sheer Glow Foundation is versatile, comes in an okay (could be improved) range of shades, but it looks very natural while still covering minor imperfections. The foundation almost blends into your skin, not leaving the skin looking fake.

For me that natural-like aspect is incredibly important as I will never forget what fake can look like. I am usually “to each their own” and all that, truly, however a few years back I saw a station worker back in London who had such a thick layer of foundation on that made it incredibly hard to focus on what I had to ask and not stare. I try not to stare or make people uncomfortable, I still feel bad about it, but I also cannot forget the way that foundation looked like. I refuse to ever be in that situation.

You can purchase the Nars foundation from: Cult Beauty , Net-a-Porter , Ulta, Sephora, Nordstrom and more.

Dermaflash Dermapore Device

The second most purchased item in 2020 was this Dermaflash device that helps you achieve clean pores by flashing out all the dirt, but also helps with the absorption of your skincare products and making them work harder.

This is another item that I did not expect to see on this list and especially not this high up on the list. Don’t get me wrong, I love the product, but I had this feeling that you guys were not as interested in it than in some of the skincare products or makeup products.

I am glad to see that 6 of you decided to give it a shot. I hope that you are enjoying it as much as I am.

You can purchase the Dermaflash Dermapore Device from: Cult Beauty, Dermastore, Nordstrom, Sephora and more.

Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint

Another position on this list was snagged by the Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint. This is also quite unsurprising as the skin tint is perhaps one of the best, scratch that, it is one of the best such products on the market and without a doubt a top product from Glossier.

This item has been purchased 5 times in 2020 via one of my links and I am glad that I convinced you to give it a try. If you haven’t tried it already, this is perfect for when on the go, for when you are in no mood to go all out with foundation and yet want to cover minor imperfections or make your skin seem more even. I realise that right now is not really the time for such products, but something to keep in mind for after we say bye-bye to masks.

The Skin Perfecting Tint is available at Glossier here.

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream

Another popular (remember I have a small platform!) product that was purchased via my recommendation four times in the past year is the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream from Sol de Janeiro. You definitely like keeping me on my toes. I did not see this one coming either. I know that many of you enjoy the product, I already knew that so I am not entirely clueless, however I posted the review for this product many, many moons ago.

The Bum Bum Cream is a truly special product and one that upped the body care game by quite a lot. This is a happy, sexy and effective product that I cannot get enough of, even 4+ years after I tried it for the very first time.

The Bum Bum Cream is available for purchase at: Walmart, Revolve, Selfridges and more.

IGK Smoke and Mirrors Conditioning Cleansing OIL

Another strange feature on the list is the Smoke and Mirrors Conditioning Oil Cleanser from IGK Haircare. This is a product I also featured back in 2019, but it seems to have taken off (not really, but still) in 2020 (thank you SEO!). I talked about this product when I first mentioned the idea of cleansing your hair using oil based products. Just like you would do to your face, but for your hair. Here is the review if you are interested in (re)reading it.

The product was purchased twice via one of my links. You can purchase it from: Sephora NZ.

This was it. These are the top five products you’ve purchased the most in the past year. Of course, if by any chance there are products you purchased multiple times and yet, you do not see featured, that might because you got them when purchasing other products at the same time. This is one of the limitations of the post and of my analytics. As a I privacy measure (which I adhere to), I am not able to see the entire contents of you purchase so if you got more products at one time, I cannot tell which ones they were. However, despite this limitation, I thought it would be fun to see which products you specifically purchased.

Also, I know that I haven’t posted my stats for the past year, but I would love to thank you here instead. Due to your help, 2020 was in the first time in my almost 10 years of blogging when I was able to cover the costs of running a website from commissions alone and my second year ever making at least one sale. I am incredibly grateful for that. The Β£3.61 I had left after covering the expenses (without paying myself anything, in case it was not clear πŸ™‚ ), I donated to the Trussell Trust which is working to stop UK hunger and poverty. It is not a lot, but I do try from time to time to make even small donation if I can. I got into this habit when I moved to the UK, Each time I paid cash and got one penny or a few pennies in change, I would put them in the boxes by the tills. Now, I do this mostly online. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. It truly means a lot to me, more than you could possibly imagine.

Which products have you purchased via one of my links? Which products would you like to try now after seeing the list above? Let me know in a comment below.

Ah how funny, I’ve literally just posted a blog post where I try out a bunch of Glossier products, including the perfecting skin tint. I’m really loving it so far and I think it’s going to be a true favourite through the summer months. I also love the Nars Sheer Glow one, as it just leaves the skin looking so smooth and even. What a great post! xx
