Wow, now this is a lot. A lot to say, that is. I don’t even know where to start. Please don’t tell me that at the beginning cause I have no idea which one is that.

Okay, now that I got some of my inner ramblings out of the way, let’s focus.

The new beauty gift with purchase from Liberty might not have the highest value of a gift out there, however they never do. Liberty GWP are usually worth around £300-£400. It is rare that they go over this amount so there should be no disappointment there. I know, when it comes to these gifts, a higher vale is preferable especially given the competition, but sometimes it is worth it regardless. In this case for example, you get a ton of goodies to try even if none of them are super valuable.

Not getting super valuable products in a gift can actually be a blessing. Falling in love with a product only to discover that the full size version is priced ££££ can be disappointing. Plus, for most of us, the huge amount spent on beauty does not come from the 4-5 high end products we purchase per year, but rather from all the little things we are curious to try. If you’ve read any of my monthly spending reports, then you know where I am coming from and I am certain I am not the only one who spends more on random beauty products than a few luxurious ones. I do get the appeal of trying some super expensive skincare product. I truly do. However, for the most part I do appreciate all the little products or less expensive products I get to try so that I won’t have to spend money on stuff that is not worth it. I would have definitely purchased many of the things included in the previous goody bags had I not received them first. It is much easier to spend £20 on ten products than £200 on one.

Okay, referring to the beauty gift with purchase in question now, the contents are not new. That is the first thing you notice when you look at this gift. If you paid attention to previous beauty gifts with purchase from Liberty of London then you will probably recognise nearly each of the products mentioned above. Look, we all know that Liberty is an expert at curation and that basically every single product they sell or brand they carry has been carefully picked. As such, their offering is limited compared to the one of other retailers. No biggie. However, it can mean we will see more of the same often and that also applies to gifts. There is no point of me going into the rationale behind the gifts. It is pretty clear that brands usually include some of their most iconic products or some that do not sell that well. Of course, there are other reasons, but those two are some of the most frequent ones. As such, it makes sense we keep on seeing some of the same products even when we wish we did not. Luckily, brands do launch new stuff so deluxe sizes of those can end up being featured in gifts.

As for the products themselves, I haven’t spotted any particularly bad ones in this gift, at least not form the ones I tried before.

I haven’t tried the QMS Medicosmetics Deep Gentle Cleanser before, however every single one of the products whether handcart or skincare I tried from them before, I loved. Honestly. This brand keeps flying under the radar, but it is worth a shot from what I have seen so far. Ah, Mario Badescu. This is yet another brand that Liberty seems keen on including every single time. I cannot really comment here as I have no clue which facial spray you will end up with, however not all of them are bad. Personally, I prefer the toner over the sprays, but some of these are quite good as well. I use them for my DIY sheet masks and they work really well.

The Sisley Paris Floral Toning Lotion is a product that I love. In fact, I reviewed it recently so you can read the full review here. The Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser is a nice cream cleanser that does a good job at removing impurities while leaving the skin feeling comfortable. This has to be one of my favourite products from the brand. Oh, the Margaret Dabs and cream is okay-ish, but definitely far from being a favourite. The cream does work, but the cone too the product is just not one I can get behind. I ignore it when it comes to foot products, but as a hand cream, I simply cannot do that.

On the other hand, the Omorovicza Queen of Hungary mist is a must try product. It can be a bit of a hit or miss, I know, but it is worth trying at least once. The mist is refreshing, especially during summer and it works well on top of your routine or even underneath. The mist is hydrating and most, yes, most bottles have a nice spraying mechanism that releases a nice mist rather than “hose” you down.

Whether you get the Nars eyeliner or the lipstick, both are high quality and pigmented. Personally, I prefer the eyeliner and not just because I use mine quite a lot (I totally do – it is one of my to go to eyeliners), but while I love the quality of the lipstick, I do not like the shade included in this gift as much. It just does not work for me.

Now, Surratt I love and Le Baton Rouge in particular is a product I cannot get enough of. While I haven’t worn mine in ages, I do look forward o having it on again soon. I live in an area where face coverings are still mandatory even outside, but I know I will be one of the last people to give it up unless I magically solve some health issues before the end of the pandemic which seems unlikely (nothing to worry about, but they could pose an issue in case I were to test positive). Anyway, you can read my review of this double sided product here.

The Noble Isle shower gels are pretty good. The Rhubarb Rhubarb shower gel is decadent, yet not overpowering. It feels nice on the skin. The products remind me of Molton Brown quite a bit, but maybe the Molton Brown ones are a bit more foamy and creamy and the ones from Noble Isle. I cannot say that the shower gel s one I would have picked for myself, but I ended up liking it quite a bit. Yes, I even liked the fragrance which I did not expect.

Ouai and I have a love-hate relationship. Some of their products worked for me while others did not. The Body Cream seemed amazing at first. The scent did not sold me on it, but I concluded that it is not that bad after all. However, the cream rubs off, at least mine does. It seems like it gets absorbed and then I can feel it come off. It is like the layer I apply dries off and the skin no longer feels wet or anything of the sort, but it just tricks me into a false sense of security as when I touch my skin I can see the cream rubbing off. It is pretty weird so I hope that my cream is a dud and that not all are like that.

The Dr Barbara Sturm Face Cream Rich is a much better option than Augustinus Bader. The cream is rich, but not overly so. I enjoyed using it even with my mostly oily skin. It absorbs quite well and it is nourishing. It definitely provided me with the extra layer of protection I needed during the cold months. I did not think I would like it, but I do.

As for the wash bag, well you probably know all about them by now. I am not super fond of many of their designs, but they are spacious and perfect for storing goodies or for traveling with them. This one is cute though!

Overall, this is a good gift with purchase for those of you who have not yet tried these products or if you are looking to make some beauty purchases at Liberty. Unfortunately, I do think that many of you, just like myself, tried so many of the goodies that it does not necessarily make sense to take advantage of this offer.
