Price and Value

The new beauty chest from LookFantastic has a value of over £383 and is priced at £100. The beauty chest can be yours for £85 if you also purchase a beauty box subscription with a length of at least 3 months. Use code BCHESTNEWSUBS at checkout.

While I am not obsessed with the idea of getting 3 beauty boxes from LookFantastic in order to benefit from this offer and I know you probably are not either, this time it might just be worth it as it will also cover the December box which is the best one of the year usually.

The beauty chest is available here.

Comments

I am going to brutally honest here (how else, right?). I was looking forward to this beauty chest and had every intention to get it when it thought it was priced at £65-£70 (after getting the beauty box subscription). Don’t get me wrong, I had not received any information from the brand in this regards, but somehow I was left with this impression. If that were the case, I would have already ordered the beauty chest by now.

I am not cheap. Okay, I am a bit cheap these days, but the extra £20 is not really the reason why I decided to rethink my decision. The contents of the beauty chest are not one that I truly need right now and the ones I really, really wanted would cost pretty much the same as the beauty chest. Sure, I would be getting some extra stuff and value for my money, but there is also the cost of opportunity to think about. I can easily purchase the two products I want – the 111SKIN toner and the Murad cream separately (even from each other) and get something else right now that might provide more value for me personally at least. After all, the rest of the products from the beauty chest are not necessarily ones I absolute have to try, you know?

(I would make a very poor salesperson)

This is my reasoning when it comes to whether I should or should not purchase this beauty chest. It served me well and I hope it can help you decide as well. Honestly, I did not share it just for the sake of hearing myself talk (about myself) :). I just think it might make it clearer where I am coming from and what I am trying to say.

Content wise, besides the Murad and 111SKIN products, there are also products from Christophe Robin, Prai, Elemis and Mauli which I would be curious about. All of these brand have some incredible products and I do tend to purchase from them every now and again. However, I am not “obsessed” to use one of those words that Gen Z just seems to love a bit much these days.

Look, the LookFantastic beauty chest is a good deal if you are interested in the products inside and from hat respect I highly recommend it. However, if the products or not enough products have a place in your stash to make this purchase worth it, then just skip it. There will be more offers.

What do you think about this beauty chest from LookFantastic?

  1. I’d like the box itself best to store jewellery, less excited about the contents, to be honest. It’s cool, but nothing I need, in fact I have literally some of the exact products

  2. I got Miin too and started opening from the middle, can’t wait until December:) and yeah, the box stays

    1. 🙂 there is one product that is half empty and I am really curious if yours is as well. Jimiso I believe is the brand. An orange glass bottle in the “middle” drawer

  3. Have you seen the more indulgence box from cult beauty which is coming out soon?! Next week probably to keep the people happy who are young to miss out on the cult beauty advent calendar and just before the end of year goody bag so you can’t get it with that They have 5 boxes coming out:.: the end of year goody bag is the best one however that’s expected end of October so the best box (indulgence) is not going to last probably 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

    1. I have seen the boxes yet. Will post only when they are out though 🙂 I have my eyes on the Glow one. The indulgence is one I might get if still available during a gwp 😂 while the value is there, I feel it is a bit pricey given that I only truly want 2 of the products or something like that.

I promised myself to stick to gwp as much as possible and already made some exceptions (how could I not, right?) but truth be told I strongly believe that gwp are the best times to restock or indulge.

About the gwp, I have no details yet. Personally, it is the only Goody bag that I never purchased””

Are you looking to take advantage of all the offers? 🙂
