This is a crazy good deal! You’re getting tons of high-end products for over half off the regular price. If you’re into luxury beauty, this kit is definitely worth checking out. The only downside is that the price is crazy high as well. While I am sure many of you spend this amount or significantly more on beauty every year, spending this amount all at once is a bit much.

I would suggest getting this vanity beauty kit for an extremely luxurious Christmas present. If you’re looking to splurge and blow it all at once, this is the perfect opportunity. I am obviously not serious. While the vanity beauty kit from Net-a-Porter is an interesting offer, beauty gifts with purchase or other beauty boxes and kits just make more sense. Now, if you are someone who has a lot of growling to do aka, you are in the dog house then you can totally have a closer look. It might just get you out of trouble right in time for the holidays.

The kit is great. Personally, the reason why I used the word “crazy” so many times in this post is that I even considered getting this for a hot minute. But no. I will definitely skip this one. The price is just not worth it. I cannot stress that enough. This is definitely an expensive luxury beauty kit even to me! I need to think of the cost of opportunity and after BF… just no.

If you do decide to buy this vanity case beauty kit, please let us know in the comments so we can live vicariously through you.

What do you think of the Vanity Case beauty kit from Net-a-Porter? Will you be picking it up? I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

  1. I think luxury like that stops to have an appeal to me. I see those items, those retail prices, and nope, do not want, don’t have money like that to spend, and the price of the set divided by the amount of items in the set gives an amount I still find too big

    1. £37 per item is sort of reasonable IMO, but in the higher end for sure. However, I totally agree. The price overall is just too high, ridiculously high I would say especially to spend that amount all at once… if divided over 2-3 gifts with purchase over a few months, well that would be another story and perhaps more tempting. I am sure they will find buyers for it anyway, but after the calendar I am less inclined to entertain the idea of spending money on NaP

  2. That’s the thing, high end no longer appeals to me, £30 for a lip balm – too much, say £37 for 15 ml of the so-so AB cream – meh, £37 for the not-bad-but-nothing-lifechanging Barbara Sturm serum oacceptable but only as a part of a set for me, £37 for an eye mask – naaah, £37 for a mascara or a blush – can get really nice ones for significantly less, £37 for a cleanser- lol no, so yeah. I like to spend money but some things seem simply overpriced so what for.
But speaking of which, I have an embarrassing confesion to make, I did buy the not-cruelty-free Armani calendar and with all the discounts it’s something like £6 per item, so awesome 😉

    1. Haha 🙂 nothing to be embarrassed about. Have fun with it!

Hmm I do see your point though. Thank you for detailing. It made me think of it a different way.

I am not completely over luxury skincare, but I do not see the point of certain items as well, especially when there are affordable alternatives on the market that render the same results. But at the same time, I did find luxury products I cannot seem to find alternatives to that are just as effective but more affordable. One such item that comes of mind is the Eye booster Concentrate from Dr Levy. There are few of these though.

  3. I understand. There’s the brand 3Lab and their creams I got in the Fortnum’s calendars were absolutely fantastic and a bit like nothing else but the retail price is way beyond my spending capacities. There were few products I enjoyed that had a really luxurious feel and I don’t mind having that experience again, but I think I feel oversaturated with buying expensive stuff. Especially that the available products tend to be the same ones over and over again like the AB cream (which is nothing to write home about…) since I don’t just buy single, selected products at their full price

    1. The cream was definitely not impressive, but the oil is actually better expected however it goes bad fast (like everything else from the brand in my experience).

I do have to agree that luxury beauty is too expensive though. The few products I loved, I would still only purchase as part of a gift with purchase offer but would rather wait for them to be featured again. There just things I cannot bring myself to spend money on 🙁

Oh need to try 3Lab. It sounds like a great brand. I haven’t heard you rave about a product as much ever, I don’t think 😌

      1. Wait for a Fortnum’s calendar;) but yeah, I usually don’t remember what I liked, and this one was memorable
