You might have been wondering why I had yet to post about some of the most exciting launches of the year – the advent calendars of 2022. The info has been available for quite some time now, especially for some of the calendars. The explanation is rather simple – I refuse to think about Christmas before the birthday season is over (now immediate family as it expanded into the autumn) but you get my point. We take Christmas rather seriously in my family so after the birthdays, Christmas planning begins :). I blame Mrs. Clause (aka my mom).
Also, my apologies for being gone for so long. You might have caught the fact that I have been experiencing some issues with my laptop. I finally caved in and dipped into my savings to get a new one only for it to have a faulty screen. I never had issues with an Apple device before… Safe to say that I just completed the return and I am feeling out of sorts. I am back at using my old one, but it is tricky with a missing vowel. I am being overly dramatic but only those of you who go gaga over technology will probably get it. Deteriorating eyesight just makes everything more complicated but maybe I will share my entire journey with that someday. I am still processing.

The Cult Beauty Advent Calendar of 2022 will cost you ££235/€275 and it will be available for purchase on 1st October, 2022 if the past editions are anything to go by. The value of the advent calendar from Cult Beauty is reportedly over £1000 thus making this edition the most valuable one yet.

This calendar will feature 37 different beauty products from some of the most popular brands in the industry. This is an excellent opportunity to try out new products or to stock up on your favorites. Best of all, Cult Beauty is the only luxury advent calendar out there that is filled with usuable, every day type of products that you are sure to get your money’s worth on and not fall into disapir after falling in love with a product that is way to expesive to pruchase afterwards.
The products included are not super fancy, that is what I am saying. but they not necesarily products you can pick up in your local drugstore either.
I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a little bit of everything in their advent calendar and wants to feel like they are getting their money’s worth!
This is the best edition I have seen from them ever sicne they started releasing these advent calendars. This is an edition I am persoanlly excited about and have put at the toip of my list. I am curiosu whetehr there will any other calendar to take this one’s place on my list. I would actually be suprised if that were to happen.

I planned to refrain from buying any calendars this year, but saw this one and it immediately was *WANT* (sigh) even the Charlotte Tilbury quad is something I was recently thinking about, that I have too much eyeshadow but I wish I had this palette. Actually the first time it was out a couple of years ago (and sold out in a flash) was when I learned about the brand and generally the world of beauty abroad so I have a little nostalgic spot for this product. This and I think it would be really flattering on me

Hello and welcome! This edition seems more interesting as the products included are more varied and actually includes products that have been featured on CB as cult products but haven’t really been included in goodie bags or other deals as much. In the past two or three years there have been many products featured also in goody bags so many people actually already had the chance to try them by the time the calendar was released. The value is also quite good, tho similar to that of last year. And as mentioned in the post, the products are some that everyone can easily use without waiting for a special occasion. Hope this answered your question. However, as you probably already know there will be many other advent calendars released so just because this one does not interest you, it does not mean others won’t. It happens, especially if you’ve purchased the same calendar year after year. Hope to “see” you around 🙂
I’ll chip in to the conversation:) What I like this year is the lack of makeup abundance. In one previous editions there were two blushes, in another two mascaras, in another two eyeshadows, and generally they had a selection of makeup which I personally don’t need so here I like that there’s more skincare and wellness products and the eyeshadow palette is the one I actually wanted to buy, so a personal bingo for me.
What I’d recommend to keep on your radar is SpaceNK, Net-a-Porter and Harrod’s calendars. Don’t know yet what’s in this year’s editions but judging by the previous years, especially Space might have enough new and cool makeup if that’s what you’re more after – Space has a similar vibe to CB for me.

I’d be really curious to see sales numbers, how many of each calendar are sold. Would be interesting to compare CB’s stock in previous year with this one, if theres less interest or simply way more stock, and what stock quantities sell for other retailers. Alas, this would never be published
Yeah. It would be really cool to see. Probably the stock number is higher but also interest a bit lower as the economy is the way it is and there is too much uncertainty with the energy crisis

They might have produced a larger number due to previous data. But also, I feel like people haven’t purchased advent calendars as much as they have in the past. If I look at my affiliate data, I haven’t had one single calendar purchase. I usually have 7-10 per year. Sure my data set is very limited and it is still early in the season but…

I think you’re very much spot on that people are not buying calendars because Cult Beauty in an email from today advertised the second drop of their calendar. Well, the first drop hasn’t sold out.

I don’t really buy second drop hype TBH, not when it comes so soon after selling out. You either have it or you don’t. There were very few instances of second drops that I did believe like the first few Harrods calendars but this here is definitely not the case

It is probability due to the fact that delivery times have increased considerably even to continental Europe. 8-10 working days means mid November at the latest they should sell out if they do not want to disappoint people. No long now.
