The holiday season is upon us, and for beauty lovers, that means one thing: advent calendars! In this review, I’ll share my experience with the delivery, packaging, contents, and overall value of this much-anticipated advent calendar.
Delivery Information and Packaging
When ordering the StyleKorean Beauty Advent Calendar 2024, I was pleased with how quickly it arrived. Shipped via DHL, the calendar reached me in around five working days, which was faster than previous editions from StyleKorean. However, the process wasn’t entirely frictionless. I had to fill out customs forms myself, although I allowed DHL to represent me, which simplified the process somewhat. This is not how it works in every country though! Some countries have a more streamlined process.
This convenience came with a cost—35 euros in tax, including DHL’s service fee. While this was an added expense, it wasn’t unexpected for an international shipment, and the speed of delivery and professionalism of DHL made it worthwhile. Luckily, for the calendar you do not have to pay the actual shipping fee unlike every other order from the retailer.
Upon arrival, the calendar was in perfect condition, which is always a relief when purchasing something internationally. That said, I did notice that the seal on the box was broken. At first, this was a bit concerning, but after inspecting the contents, I realized that everything was intact.
Given the calendar’s design—two halves that move around because of the lack of proper fastening—it makes sense that the seal didn’t hold during transit. While it was slightly worrisome at first, this minor issue didn’t affect the overall quality of the product.
Packaging and Design
The packaging of the StyleKorean Beauty Advent Calendar 2024 is undeniably festive and eye-catching. While I personally preferred the purple aesthetic of the 2023 edition, this year’s design feels more aligned with the holiday spirit. The box is vibrant and cheerful, which matches the excitement of opening a calendar filled with surprises.
However, the practicality of the packaging could be improved. The two halves of the box move around a bit too much, which likely caused the broken seal during shipping. A sturdier fastening system would have been ideal to ensure everything stays in place. That said, the calendar is still a joy to look at and adds a festive touch to any room. No potential for reuse though unlike the New Year, New Skin edition they launched earlier this year.

Some highlights include a mix of full-sized and travel-sized items, which allow you to try out new products without committing to full sizes. Plus, like as expected, the retailer has included some of the best selling products in the K-Beauty space, some that are not easily available on other website.
One of the reasons I keep coming back to the StyleKorean advent calendars is their ability to introduce me to lesser-known K-beauty brands alongside popular favorites. This year’s edition doesn’t disappoint in that regard, as it features a balanced mix of cult classics and hidden gems.
