Okay, so I am usually all about getting goody bags for free aka with a qualifying purchase, but that is when you have other stuff you wish or need to purchase. In this case, the minimum spend threshold is rather high and since we are just after the holidays or gift giving/receiving season and at the beginning of a new year, I highly doubt that any of you have enough products they must purchase right now.
On this occasion, I do believe that the Niche Beauty Best of 2022 Bag is worth getting however as a gift set for £89. Of course, this only n the case you actually have an interest or even need in the products included. Otherwise, skip it.
In terms of so called full size products, well I have tried three of them and they are alright and worth checking out. MDO by Simon Ourian MD is a rather incredible brand that deserves way more attention than it is actually getting. The Eucalyptus Deodorant from Malin and Goetz is a nice clean and aluminium free deodorant and a gentle one at that. As for the Diptyque candle, well the scent of this particular one included in the Niche Beauty Best of 2022 Bag is nice in my opinion, but interest in scents is rather subjective, In my opinion, this is one of the best scents from the entire brand, but that may be just me.
The Pestle & Mortar Hyaluronic Serum is an okay products, but one of the few HA serums that did not work on me whatsoever. It has been many years since I last tried it so who knows now, but I remember disliking it and being super disappointed with my purchase. They may have changed the formula in the meantime though and plus, not everyone reacts the same way to the same product. This product made me try applying serums on wet skin though and that was life changing. I still use the practice to this day.
Peter Thomas Roth Instant FirmX Eye is a product that I just got my mother for Christmas. This is not really an eye cream but more of an eye treatment. The product requires a lot of trial an error, but if you are familiar with the viral TikTok video then I assure you that it is real and that this product is effective. However, you may feel tightening of the skin which may seem like an odd feeling especially if you have never felt it before. (I was asked to report this by my mom who has tried many of the “expensive” lifting serums I got though goodies bags or advent calendars that made me feel some tightness whilst she never felt any). Also, there may some white residue left behind after using this product so like I said, you need to test it out and see how much of the product you really need, what works best on top etc. The effect is incredibly visible but it is temporary. It goes away in a few hours. You can say goodbye to huge under bags though and any sagging of the skin if the case. It cannot be used on the eyelids though, but it can be under under the eyebrow, on the crow feet areas and underneath the eye.
Dr. Barbara Sturm Face Cream Rich is a great product and perfect for the colder months. Despite it being a rich cream it worked even on my oily/combinational skin during the colder months of the year. However, I felt like this is just a simple moisturisers that does a good job at keeping your skin hydrated and protected from the cold rather than anything more spectacular. I would not purchase it, but would enjoy receiving it.
Overall, I feel like the Niche Beauty Best of 2022 Bag is a great gift set to get, but not necessarily. great goodie bag. I do recommend having a closer look and perhaps even picking it up, but that is it. Do not try to reach the threshold for the free goodie bag on this one. It is just too much.
