This is my first ever MakeTheMake beauty product. In fact, I had not heard about the brand until I saw it included in the Skin City Beauty Advent Calendar. This was actually the first product from said calendar as you probably guessed given the date I am posting this review on.
Since I still do no know much about the brand, how abut we discuss the product for now. Shall we?
Melon Moisture Mist Review
The Melon Mist from MakeTheMake comes in a pressurised bottle. Nothing really strange there. Some brands adopted plastic and glass bottles for their mists, but there are still many that use this type of container. Personally, I do not mind either way as long as the spray mechanism of the bottle is fit for purpose.
It is. The Melon Mist from MakeTheMake bottle has an amazing spraying mechanism. The product comes out of the bottle as a mist and not as something that feels like it is hosing you down. You know what I mean, right? I hate when that happens as I cannot apply it over makeup since it ruins my hard work. That is not the case here. The product does indeed come out of the bottle in an incredibly fine mist which feels heavenly on the skin.
The Melon Mist is enriched with Hyaluronic Acid which helps bind moisture to the skin, with Niacinamide and Vitamin C which provide protection against free radicals. How great is that? This makes the Melon Moisture Mist from MakeTheMake not just a simple mist, but in fact a product with lots of useful ingredients. I don’t know about you, but I love me some Niacinamide. This ingredient worked wonders on my pores and helped me keep my pores smaller and not irritated. Of course, it goes without saying that both Vitamin C and Hyaluronic acid are amazing ingredients which should be part of you skincare routine.
There is not much I can tell you about this mist. You need to try it out for yourself. All I can add is that the fragrance of this mist is amazing. It really smells like fresh watermelon and not some synthetic version of the real thing. In addition, the mist is hydrating to an extent and it feels great on the skin.
This mist does not dry super fast, but it does not ruin you makeup at all. It also does not dry leaving your face sticky whatsoever. If you ere expecting something that gives you a super glow then this product is not it, but if you are expecting a bit of a matte effect then you will have it. You won’t end up with super matte skin which I think is great, but it will take some of the shine away thus giving you a radiant but not wet look. It makes your complexion look very natural even with makeup on. I guess this is the best way to put it.
I don’t know about you, but from what you read above I hope that you got the right impression. The Melon Mist from MakeTheMake is a must buy product which I cannot believe I went so long without. I absolutely love this product and cannot wait to use it again and again. I really want to learn more about MakeTheMake now.
