Truly Beauty Unicorn Fruit Whipped Body Butter Review

I am back with a new review of a Truly Beauty product. You already know how much I love the band so I was really excited to give the Unicorn Fruit Whipped Body Butter a try.

Find out for yourself how this whole experience turned out.

Truly Beauty Unicorn Fruit Whipped Body Butter

Body butter is one of those rare products that is both indulgent and practical. Not only does it leave your skin feeling soft and silky, but it also provides long-lasting hydration, making it an ideal choice for dry winter months.

Truly Beauty Unicorn Fruit Whipped Body Butter is marketed as one such product and one that benefits from a series of positive reviews like most of the products from the brand. I am pretty sure that the formula or rather the nice smelling fragrance it comes in plays a huge role on this occasion, but more about this later.

The Unicorn Fruit Whipped Body Butter is formulated using a series of good ingredients. The ingredients include Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Organic Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract all of which are soothing but also Vitamin E (Tocopherol), Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract, Cbd Isolate, Spirulina Extract, Beta Vulgaris (Beet) Root Extract which provide anti-oxidant ingredients.

The star ingredients in the body butter are Acai, Matcha, and Vegan Collagen Booster though. Acai berries are loaded with antioxidant properties, which help them fend off free radicals and help maintain skin health.

Matcha not only helps fend off free radicals, similar to Acai berries but it also gently exfoliates away dead skin cells for fresh and healthy-feeling skin.

My favorite ingredient though is the vegan collagen booster. Anything that boosts collagen is welcome in my opinion especially since I am past a certain age and my collagen production is going down a bit more than it should for someone my age. So anything to help it in any way is very welcome.

As you can see, in theory, the Truly Beauty Unicorn Fruit Whipped Body Butter is a great choice for a body moisturizer.

Fragrance

The Truly Beauty Unicorn Fruit Whipped Body Butter smells incredible. It is a pleasure to smell it as the scent is fun and can easily put you in a good mood if you love candy-like fragrances. I am obsessed with it.

How to use the Truly Beauty Unicorn Fruit Whipped Body Butter?

Now, this is a tricky one. The body butter is a rich and surprisingly greasy moisturizer that is supposed to melt into the skin, leaving it feeling soft, smooth, and healthy. Except this is not really the case in my opinion and experience.

Here’s how to use it:

First, take a small amount of body butter and massage it into your skin in a circular motion. Then, focus on any areas that are particularly dry, such as your elbows or knees. Finally, put on some loose clothing so that the body butter can continue to work its magic.

Sounds good no? Well, the issue is that the product takes forever to absorb into the skin, and by forever, I do mean forever.

The product has a meringue or frsoting-like texture and it seems very interesting at first, however once rubbed onto the skin it turns into a greasy thing that no matter how much you rub it in, it does not get absorbed into the skin. It absorbs after 30 minutes or so, but that is not very convenient now is it?

Share a personal experience of using the product

I have always been a bit skeptical of products that claim to do everything or have a magical effect, but Truly Beauty delivered many times in the past. As such, I was excited to give this product a try and I had high hopes for it.

Things did not work out as you probably gathered from above. The texture is unpleasant once it reaches the skin and having greasy skin for prolonged periods of time is truly not my cup of tea. The product does deliver in the sense that it hydrated the skin like no other moisturizer or body butter I tried in the past, but the drawback is too hard to ignore.

I ever tried melting a small amount of the product by leaving it near the radiator, but it did nothign good.

Luckily, the product is multi-functional as it can also be applied to the lips and ot the tips of the hair.

I used it as a lip balm and I enjoyed it tremendously that way. It worked much much better on the lips and left them super smooth, soft, and hydrated. Not all hope is lost as you can see, but as a body butter, this product has no place in my stash.

Conclusion

No, I would not recommend this product. It did not meet my expectations and I was disappointed with the results. The final verdict is that this product is not worth the money. Not unless you use it on the lips that is.

If you’re looking for a body butter that is light and airy, packed with skin-loving ingredients, and leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturized, the Truly Beauty Unicorn Fruit Whipped Body Butter is not it. The product does tick a few of those boxes, but the airy one definitely does not. It may seem like it is in the jar, but this quality truly does not transfer to the skin.

The only good thing about this product is its versatility as well as the nice fragrance.
