byTerry Hyaluronic Sheer Rouge Hydra-Balm Fill & Plump Lipstick

I love byTerry, but I admit that I rarely used their products due to their high prices. I love shopping and I do spend more than I should at times, but with so many products available I find it hard to spend money on one item when I could try so many others instead.

Anyway, let’s move on to the review of the byTerry Hydra-Balm Fill&Plump Lipstick.

byTerry Hyaluronic Sheer Rouge Hydra-Balm Fill & Plump Lipstick Review

The colour of my byTerry Hyaluronic Sheer Rouge Hydra-Balm Fill & Plump Lipstick is ‘Princess in Rose’ which seemed a bit too pink in the tube so I was a bit afraid to try it on just to realise that I should have saved it to gift it to someone who might appreciate it more. Sometimes I do try out products that do not look like something that would fit me, but normally when I do, I do not feel bad about having to throw them away afterwards. At this price tag, I would have felt horrible about not being able to wear the product and about throwing it away, but luckily it did not come to that. The colour is really pink, but after a few moments of being on the lips it settles and the colour becomes a bit less intimidating. The rouge gives the lips a particular shine, I do not know how to describe it other than as some sort of a sheer metallic.

The byTerry Hyaluronic Sheer Rouge Hydra-Balm Fill & Plump Lipstick claims to plump the lips as well, however even if it does, the effect is not as visible as with other products. It felt more like an illusion caused by the glitter in the lipstick rather actual plumping. In any case, I did not feel the process at all. I did not feel a tingling or anything else. However, the product does act like a balm and it made my lips feel smooth and very hydrated.

On the other hand, the colour is not long lasting. You will need to reapply the product several times throughout the day if you intend to wear it for longer periods of time and that is a shame really. At that price having to apply the product too often is a bit disappointing. Furthermore, if you try to eat or drink something while wearing the lipstick you will find out that there won’t be any product left afterwards.

Overall, I did enjoy the byTerry Hyaluronic Sheer Rouge Hydra-Balm Fill & Plump Lipstick and I liked the way it looked on my lips. I particularly enjoy the way the lipstick feels while on as it is not drying and does not tug at my lips, but instead nourishes them a tiny bit and makes them seem more plump due to the use of HA in the product or maybe the glitter. Still needs to be determined.  I am not sure I would ever purchase this exact colour again, but I will definitely consider getting the product in a different shade.
