You Beauty Box – February’s Indulgent Skincare Selection

I haven’t known about You Beauty until recently, at least I do not think. More often than not I did not open the emails that advertised this beauty box which I realise now that it was a huge mistake. I do get hundreds if not thousands of emails every single day from brands, shops I subscribed to, business publications and of course personal emails and even from some of you. Can you guess which ones I love the most? It is the ones for you, just so that there is no doubt. 🙂

Anyway, since I discovered the beauty box, I have been keeping a close eye on them and should you. Don’t worry though, I am here to remind you 🙂

What does the Indulgent Skincare edition of the You beauty Box contains?

  • Avant, Intensive Redensifying Glycolic Acid Day Moisturiser, 50ml. RRP £86  – full size
  • Balance Me Congested Skin Serum, 7ml. RRP £10
  • 111Skin Rose Gold Illuminating Eye Mask. RRP £12
  • PRAI Ageless Throat & Decolletage Creme, 15ml. RRP £9
  • Josh Wood Colour Everything Mask, 30ml. RRP £10

Price and Value

The You Beauty box is priced at £45, however has a value of £159. The price/value ratio is pretty alright, even if we all wished it would have been a bit better. The products though is what makes this box worth your while. More ono that below,

Please keep in mind that the box is a limited edition and that there are only 250 pieces on top of those for subscribers. If you want one, you might need to move fast. Sure, it did not sell out until now, even though it is the mid of February, but still…I am sure there are not many left. If there are, the brand needs to up their marketing game. You can purchase the box here.

Comments

Honestly, if you only need one single reason to get this box then the reason should be Avant Skincare. I am a sucker for the brand and have loved nearly every single one of their products so far. They are simply incredible! However, as you can see here in the list above, their products are pricey. I did my best to get mine from advent calendars and other such beauty boxes. I try to never miss out on an opportunity to try something new from them. I did miss a great opportunity to get a full sized set from them, but it was before I actually gave the products a try. Oh hey, that set did make me finally open my first Avant Skincare product so at least it did help somehow. I kinda regretted it ever since though. I haven’t tried this specific product include din the box before, but from past experience with the brand, trying their stuff can be a really good idea.

The Balance Me Congested Skin Serum is a product I am glad to have not seen in a while. This is one of their products that personally I never got along with. I cannot say that it does not work. It sort of does. It gets all the icky stuff underneath the skin come together and then reach the surface, but I don’t know. I just did not feel it. Of course, the last time I tried it was before these magical patches were around so who knows…

111Skin has some interesting products and their rose gold range is highly popular. The products do tend to work. I am still on the fence on the eye patches so I won’t comment on them just yet. The same goes for the Prai cream. I love the fragrance of the cream, it is soft and not at all overpowering. It smells pretty much like expensive skincare. furthermore, the cream has a nice light and sort of watery texture, but I am not sure quite yet whether it provides any results. Others claim it does…

As for the rest of the products, I really have no comments on.

What I do see when it comes to this beauty box though is that unlike other beauty boxes on the market, this one it is not necessary aimed at a 20s-30s demographic and it caters more towards 40+ which is nice for a change. It can be used even if you are below that age group, but it does take into account the needs of someone who is 40+ as well which is not something we see all that often.
