Surprise, surpsie. Today I am actually going to talk about a product, as in, I am going to write an actual review. The product I want to tell you a bit more about today is the Dr Jart+ Dermaclear™ Micro Foam Cleanser. This is a product I started using a few years back, around the time I started this blog, if I were to guess and recently revisited. As such, I thought it would be a good time to share with you some of my thoughts and my experience with this product.
Dr Jart+ Dermaclear ™ Micro Foam Cleanser Review
The Dr Jart+ Dermaclear™ Micro Foam Cleanser is a creamy cleanser. In terms of texture, it is not something you see often on the western markets or rather western brands, this kind of creamy texture you get from Dr Jart+ is more common among K-Beauty/Asian Beauty cleansers. Estee Lauder tried to create something similar, but in the hundreds of cleansers I tried, I have yet to find another product with a similar texture outside K-Beauty.
As I was saying, the texture is creamy and it feels super nice on the skin. However, you have to be very careful and use on a tiny, tiny amount. The cleanser foams like crazy if you overdo it. It does not foam as much during application and actual cleansing process, but it does when you attempt to remove it. Better not to over do it, that would be my advice!
The Dr Jart+ Dermaclear Micro Foam Cleanser leaves the skin incredibly soft, however the product can be a bit drying. I have oily/combinational skin and for the most part, I found this product to be alright, but my dehydrated patches did not approve as much. The skin in those areas felt a bit tight and slightly uncomfortable, at least until I followed with a hydrating toner and the rest of my skincare routine. This is something to keep in mind while making your decision to purchase this item.
However, the best part of this cleanser and the actual reason why I loved it so much was the way it cleaned my face. Not only it removed all the surface dirt and any remaining makeup (do remember that I started using it a while back when makeup was definitely an option, one without complications that is), but it cleared my blackheads very thoroughly. My pores were significant cleaner after one use, much more so than with other cleansing products. Even better thought was the fact that with repeated use, my pores began to seem a bit smaller and truly clean. I was no rid of them altogether as that is impossible and I truly hope you know that. For younger readers – magazines are full of crap and photoshop! Actually, we all need a reminder every once in a while, I guess. But due to the fact that my pores were truly cleaner than ever, they did diminish a bit in size, they were less enlarged and additional skincare products helped as well to maintain those effects.
I know that it sounds a bit far-fetched, but it truly works. Well, it worked really well for me. Now, if it only were not for the fact that the product can be a bit drying…

Personally, I am quite fond of this cleanser and others similar to it. They all seem to work quite well and they are definitely vastly different from most cleansers we might be tempted to purchase given the selection easily available in Europe or even the North America. I know that there are many skeptics when it comes to K-beauty, especially if you’ve only had the chance to try less than performant products (they do exist) or not original ones. However, you should have less of an issue when it comes to Dr Jarrt+ as the brand is easily available, even in high end stores. While I do recommend this product, even if you do not end up picking this one up, I hope you will give another K-Beauty one a try or perhaps more from the Dr Jart+ range as they have some amazing products. Psss – the cicapair range is one to watch.
