Today, I would like to share my recent shopping experience at YesStyle with you all. For those of you who are not familiar with the brand, YesStyle is a popular online retailer offering a wide range of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle products from various Asian brands.
While YesStyle has been around for quite some time, I understand that some of you may not have had the chance to shop there yet, or perhaps you have shopped there in the past but haven’t revisited the site in a while. Personally, I have shopped at YesStyle in the past, but it has been five years since my last purchase. My recent shopping experience was a pleasant surprise, and it inspired me to write this article and share my insights with you.
So, whether you’re a seasoned YesStyle shopper or a first-timer, I hope this article will provide you with useful information and an insight into what YesStyle has to offer. So, let’s get started!
Ordering process
The ordering process on YesStyle is very straightforward and user-friendly. Upon arriving at the website, you’ll be presented with a range of categories to choose from. Once you select a category that interests you, the website will take you to a page filled with product options to browse through. From there, you can add items to your shopping cart and proceed to check out.
If you know exactly what you are looking for, you can easily search for it based on product name but also brand name. The search function is one of the best I have seen on an Asian beauty retailer website, well one that ships internationally that is.
If the website is not for you, you can always download the app to your phone, however, while ordering from the app is easy, some functions are restricted so you still need to use the website – e.g. order tracking.
Offers
YesStyle often runs exclusive sales and offers, so it pays to check out the website regularly. YesStyle also has a loyalty program where you can earn points for each purchase that can be used in exchange for discounts or even item gifts. The points also add up really fast and lead to pretty attractive discounts that have no impact on any promo codes or referral codes.
Honestly, they pretty much have a discount code available to use at all times. The best part though is that no matter what offer they have going on, it can also be combined with a referral code such as this one – BLUSHSUEDE24 which will get you an additional discount.
You can use promo codes, referral codes and loyalty points all at the same time. That’s how you get the best bang for your buck when shopping at YesStyle.
Shipping & Returns
YesStyle offers free shipping on most orders, but there is a minimum order amount and certain restrictions apply if you want to qualify. If you don’t meet their requirements, then you can still opt for standard or express (limited to some countries) shipping for a relatively small fee – standard more than express.
Most items are returnable within 30 days of purchase if they are unused and in the original packaging. After returning your item, it may take up to 14 business days for YesStyle to process your refund. In addition, there is also an online chat system that you can use if you have any questions or concerns about the ordering process, shipping, and returns.
Duty Fees & VAT
All prices include all the relevant taxes so there should not be any surprised or additional fees. If you are slapped with duty taxes, YesStyle is happy to refund you, but it should not happen.
My experience
While I added some comments in the above section, I decided to keep the rest for a separate section in this article so that I could give an overview of my experience with YesStyle.
As mentioned in the intro, I shopped at YesStyle years back while I was still in the UK. I liked that their delivery time was quite good, but the products let me down. From around 15 products I ordered in 2017-2028, I only ended up using 2-3 as I was not convinced they were genuine. Compared to other products I owned or ordered from older retailers, the one from YesStyle looked worse for Wera, smelled off and so on. I did not trust them in the least.
Over the years, my passion for K-Beauty and Asian beauty products has only continued to grow. As a result, I have become increasingly interested in trying out new brands and products. However, finding reliable retailers to purchase from hasn’t always been easy.
While I have come across some great options like Style Korean, I have found their shipping fees to be too expensive when shipping to my country. Additionally, while there are local retailers that import products, I often find that YesStyle’s prices are much more affordable.
Despite my interest in shopping with YesStyle, making the decision to do so hasn’t been an easy one. There are various factors to consider, and it’s important to weigh the pros and cons before making a purchase.
I was obviously worried that my experience would end up being a horrible one once again, but more than just that I was worried about the shipping options.
I’m currently living in Romania, and I have to say, shipping here can be quite problematic. Unlike in the UK, I can’t simply pay customs fees to have my parcel delivered right to my doorstep when it’s delivered via the national post. Instead, I have to go to a special postal office and explain my purchase, which can be a long and tedious process. Even if there are no taxes to pay, if the parcel is delivered via the post, I still have to go and pick it up. This can be such a hassle, especially with my work schedule.
Because of these issues, I stopped thinking about shopping at YesStyle for a while and explored other options. Express shipping wasn’t even an option for me, so I had to put off purchasing anything from the site. However, I recently found out that YesStyle started shipping orders to Romania via courier, even when using standard shipping. So, I decided to give it another try and see what happens. And you know what? I’m so glad I did!
I placed two/three orders up to this point and the experience was surprisingly good. Many things have changed!
My first shopping experience with YesStyle was a bit nervy, as it took quite a while – 1.5 months – to get my order delivered. At first, I was worried that I might never receive my products! However, I reached out to the customer service team, and they were a great help.
The first reply I received was simply to check with my courier, but I insisted that there might be an issue with the delivery. The second customer service assistant I spoke to was incredibly helpful and reassuring. They assured me that I would receive my products, and even offered to send me a replacement if I hadn’t received them by the end of the week. Luckily, I received my order just three days before their “deadline.”
Thankfully, my second order with YesStyle was much smoother. It was split into two orders, and both were delivered in less than two weeks.
YesStyle prices include VAT as the company is registered to pay VAT in the EU so no extra taxes were incurred nor should they ever be. If you are slapped with additional taxes, YesStyle is more than happy to refund them.
So in terms of shipping and receiving my parcel, the experience was pretty smooth I would say. Nothing about it that would make me refrain from shopping with the retailer again.
When it comes to the products themselves, my experience with YesStyle was surprisingly positive. I do not doubt that all the products I purchased are genuine – the quality is there. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the outer packaging of the items I received was in better shape than those of products I had ordered from the site years ago.
To test the waters, I even purchased a few items that I had recently gotten from other retailers so that I could compare them. I’m happy to say that I’m convinced the products from YesStyle are of the same high quality, but just a tad more affordable. I am genuinely surprised and incredibly happy that YesStyle is now a great option for me to shop for Asian beauty products. They carry a vast range of products and brands that are otherwise very hard to come by even though other international retailers that I have found. The prices are also pretty amazing.
In short, I was very impressed by the selection and variety of products available on the website. The ordering process was straightforward and customer service was helpful when needed. Shipping times were fairly quick. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my shopping experience at YesStyle and would definitely shop there again!
