Liquid Palisade – Easy Peel Polish Barrier is a product that provides coverage on your cuticles and for around your nails. The product is meant to ensure that you will never get messy fingers ever again when you are doing your manicure or even pedicure.
Sounds perfect, doesn’t it? If you caught even glimpse of my nails in a photo or video (most likely on Instagram) then you probably know that I am worse at doing my nails than I am at doing my cat-liner. Yes, it is possible, unfortunately!
So the other day when I was browsing the Sephora website and decided to place an order, I found this Liquid Palisade from Kiesque and decided to give it a try. There are two versions of the Kiesque product and I went for the one with the thicker brush.
Boy, now that was a mistake.
But before we get into why that is, let’s start at the beginning. As you have read above, the Kiesque Liquid Palisade is meant to protect your fingers (or toes) from getting messy while doing your pedicure. The product attempts to do that by forming some sort of easily removable tape upon application and drying.
So basically, you need to apply the product round your nail and let the product dry just a tiny bit and then a tape-like thing is created. Once you are done painting your nail, you can then remove the tape and your finger should be free of any nail polish even if you did make a bit of a mess around the nail area.
I am happy to report that the product does indeed work. The Liquid Palisade from Kiesque drys quickly and the tape that is created is also pretty easy to remove. That is not an issue.
Remember that I said that getting the Palisade with the thick brush was a mistake? Well, for me it was. The brush is as thick as the one from a lip gloss and the product is also pretty thick on the brush so getting the right amount of product and getting it allover where it is supposed to go is not that easy.
In short, using the Kiesque Liquid Palisade with the thick brush is not that easy. While the removable tape forms properly. getting it to from everywhere where you need it to and not forming where you don’t need it to is more difficult.
Now, I have used the Kiesque Liquid Palisade several times and I am not upset that I decided to purchase it. This is definitely the kind of product I needed, but there is definitely a learning curve. The more you use the product, the easier it becomes, however I wonder if the other Liquid Palisade from the brand would have not been easier to use. So while I recommend giving this product a try, I would suggest going for the thinner brush version instead? Maybe.
Where can you buy the Liquid Palisade?
Have you tried any of the Liquid Palisade products from Kiesque? Have you tried any similar products that work?
