The review you have bene waiting for is finally here. I have to admit that it took me quite some time to get around to writing this one. However, finding the Powerless Putty Primer from ELF was not an easy task.
When I last placed an order on the ELF website, the product was out of stock. Luckily, the product was then released in the UK so yay! I managed to find the product in a Superdrug near Marble Arch in London.
It has been a few weeks since, but that gave me enough time to try the product under various conditions and I have thoughts. Find out below what I think of the ELF Poreless Putty Primer.
ELF Poreless Putty Primer Review
The first thing you notice about the Poreless Putty Primer is its texture. The texture of the product is pretty uncommon for a primer, however it is not that unique. There are other more high end products on the market that have a similar texture, but this one from ELF is the only drugstore one that I found.
The texture might take you a while to get used to it, however it is pretty fun to play with. Not only is the texture fun and interesting, but it is also what makes you skin look blurred and creates a perfect base for your makeup.
No, you cannot wear it alone. In case you were wondering… While the primer makes your skin look amazing, more uniform and blurred at the same time, it also leaves a slight whiteish cast on your skin. The cast might fade, but it does not completely disappear. So you do need some makeup on top.
How to apply the Poreless Putty Primer?
You should apply this primer on you cleansed and moisturised face, however afterwards it is up to you whether you apply it using a brush, a sponge or your fingers. But there is something you need to know.
If you are looking for a more blurred appearance and especially if you want to achieve a matte look, then I recommend using your fingers to apply this product. However, if you are looking for a more natural yet blurred look then a sponge is your friend.
Does the Poreless Putty Primer work?
I already sort of answered this one, but the answer is yes. The primer from ELF really works and that makes it worth every penny.
While the primer does not hide every single one of your pores, it does make them look more blurred and creates a perfect base. This makes your makeup look overall more uniform and just a tad bit nicer.

Overall, I really enjoyed this primer from ELF. Like I mentioned above, the Poreless Putty Primer is worth every penny and I am really happy I decided to make this investment. There are no regrets whatsoever. This primer just makes my skin look better and my makeup look fantastic. What more can one expect from a primer?
