I am back with another review for today and that is the review of the Blush Glow Duo from Natasha Denona which was included in the LookFantastic Beauty Advent Calendar from 2020.

This is not my first encounter with the brand as I have tried another duo last year, however despite my admiration for the brands and its products, my experience is quite limited.

Natasha Denona Blush Glow Duo Review

Like I mentioned above, this Blush Glow Duo is a product that was included in the LF Advent Calendar and I am not sure that it is a product I would have picked up for myself. Actually, I probably would not have. Why? I don’t wear blush. It is quite simple actually. I would have definitely gone for one of the mini eyeshadow palettes from Natasha Denona though. Those looks simply amazing!

It is what it is. Now that I have the product in my possession, I decided to give it a go. I realise that this is not the right time to do so, but recently I reached the conclusion that I should give most if not all my products a try even if I think they would work for me or not. In this case, I have been obsessing over the brand for a while now and yet, I have limited experience with it. This is another opportunity to test the quality of the products without making a further investment,

So I did. I tried the Blush Glow Duo.

The first thing I noticed about this product is the packaging. While I love how it sparkles. I hate that you cannot avoid getting fingerprints and such on it. However, it is quite practical. It fits in every bag without taking too much space. It has a a nice, magnetic closure which makes the palette each to open and yet not easy enough for it to open by itself and ruin your bag. The palette has includes a small mirror which is just enough to touch up your makeup on the go. Furthermore, the small palette or duo fist perfectly in the palm of your hand.

Okay, enough about packaging. Let’s talk about the powders. The palette as the name suggests, includes a blush and a highlighter. I am sure you already figured that out, but I realised that I have not mentioned it before.

Both powders are quite creamy, perhaps the blush more so than the highlighter, Despite hating blushes, I decided to try this one and I love how it looks and how easy it is to blend. I will probably not going to start wearing blush now anyway, but still, it looks pretty and it is not super in your face aka it does not look fake.

The highlighter is pretty much just as easy to apply. While for the blush I recommend using a brush or even better, a sponge, you can apply the highlighter using a brush, a sponge and even your fingers. This is if you apply it on your cheeks,

Yes, I did bring that up as I decided to try something else. At the end of the day, this duo includes two powder shades and since this is a year when I do not see myself wearing any face makeup, I decided to see whether these two shades would look nice as eyeshadow. They do. They really do. I think I actually prefer wearing them as eyeshadow.

The highlighter is in 001 which is a very light, champagne like colour while the blush is in Coral which is a pinkish coral. The two shades go well together on the eyelids and they are just pigmented enough to create a delicate look. Personally, I applied the powders using my fingers as I love a muted, undefined look, but you can just as easily use a brush if you want.

Overall, I liked the Blush Glow Duo from Natasha Denona, The powders are high quality and versatile. The two shades have a good amount of pigment and are relatively easy to blend which is great as they can be used both my experiences and less experiences individuals without difficulty. This duo is practical, travel friendly and just enough for everyday needs.
