I got my hands on the tiny little lip balm from Balmi by chance, to be honest. It was part of a beauty box that I purchased during a period of irrational anxiety that I was going through for my graduation ceremony. Who does that? Anyway, the Balmi Mint lip balm was just sitting there in the box and I did not think much of it.
By that point, I already had one lip balm that I loved, after trying oh so many that I did not suit me. I wasn’t expecting to love this one, just like I did not like many before it. I was even thinking about keeping it in its original packaging so that I could give it away or donate it. Luckily, my curiosity got the best of me. Well, that and the fact that I could get a blog post out of it.
Opening and trying that one little Balmi Mint lip balm was one of the best decisions I have ever made in regards to the beauty products I tried. The lip balm is simply amazing!
The Balmi Mint lip balm gives you a tiny tingling feeling because of the mint (duh), but it is nothing annoying. I kinda like it! However, the best part is that the lip balm is nourishing beyond any other I tried before. I honestly did not find any other balm that is as nourishing to the lips. The Balmi mint lip balm left my lips feeling both nourished, a bit more plum and especially incredibly soft.
Another great thing about the Balmi lip balm is its shape. It might make you think of the eos lip balms, but it is very different. Okay, let me explain that a bit better or at least try to do so. The shape is obviously not the same as the eos is like an egg and the Balmi is clearly not. However, the shape still has you applying the balm in a similar matter. With eos I struggle to get to certain points with ease and then I end up with a bit more product in areas where there should not be any product. I have to be incredibly careful when applying any of their products, but I can’t say the same about Balmi. Balmi’s unique shape makes it so easy to apply without any issues. It just glides on the lips and ends up in the right places. It perfectly covers your lips.
Even as the product becomes smaller from repeated use, the shape holds and the ease of application remains.
One other thing that you should is that the lip balm is a bit more glossy on the lips than the usual lip balm. That is due to the Jojoba Oil.
Another interesting fact about the Balmi Lip Balm is that you can use it one your cuticles as well, but I haven’t done do yet. I might do it once it does not reach my lips with ease anymore (if that ever happens), but not sooner. I prefer to not let something that goes onto my lips touch any other part of my body, no matter how clean it is. I just prefer to avoid that.
The Balmi Mint Lip Balm is seriously amazing and I hope that I will get to try the entire range sometime soon. I am actually in the process of placing an order and you should be too.
I usually use the EOS lip balm and am looking to switch, I definitely need to check this one out!
You should! it is pretty great and so affordable as well. Sephora ones are also great if you have access to one of their stores.
