Before we get into this review, I have to say that I know that Victoria Secret is a controversial brand and that many of you might not support it. I completely support your decision, but I also hope that you won’t hate me for reviewing their products.
I wrote several other paragraphs below which I chose to delete as I don’t want to fight on this topic. This here is just a review and I hope you will treat it as such. After, it is up to you whether you want to try the product or not.
All my reviews are honest reviews of the product themselves and I try to not comment not the brand as a brand is more than just one person or a group of people. I consider the product for what it is.
Okay, so I said way more than what I intended to say anyway, but I hope you can understand where I am coming from.
VS Pink Coco Zen Vanilla Body Lotion
I am not a huge fan of coco, in fact I usually try to stay away from it. It was never my thing no matter how much I tried to make it so.
My dislike for the ingredient started with the Bounty chocolate bar and it only grew from there. However, since I love beauty so much, I decided to continue trying it due to the benefits that coco is said to have. Lately, the beauty industry has made great progress in using coco and now it started growing on me as well. That is why I decided to try the bestselling coco lotion from Victoria Secret Pink.
I have seen the entire coco collection from Victoria Secret Pink so many times before I decided to give it a go. I wanted to, but since coco wasn’t my thing at all, I was reluctant to try it. I was certain that it would be a huge fail.
Right before Christmas, the coco collection was part of the stocking filler promotion so it was even cheaper than usual and I was like “what the hell” and I went for it. Thus, I got the VS Pink Coco Zen Vanilla Body Lotion for £5.
I decided to try the Zen Vanilla one rather than the original or the lavender version first because I tend to like vanilla scents and I had hoped that it would cover some of the coco scent.
I did not have high expectations obviously, but I ended up loving the VS Pink Coco Zen Vanilla Body Lotion. As I predicted, the coco scent is a tad more muted by the addition of vanilla and I dig that.
VS Pink Coco Zen Vanilla Body Lotion has a nice texture. The product is thick and yet soft enough to be able to be placed in a bottle with a pump. It is definitely thicker than your usual lotion, but not as thick as coconut oil.
I covered the texture and the smell, now all what is left is to talk about how it actually makes my skin feel and whether it is worth it overall.
VS Pink Coco Zen Vanilla Body Lotion leaves my skin feeling really moisturised and soft. The lotion dries pretty quickly and it does not leave a greasy residue on the skin which is why I also love using it on my hands.
The pump system is also pretty neat, but that is just a bonus.
Overall, I do love the VS Pink Coco Zen Vanilla Body Lotion and I do recommend you give it a try as it is cheaper than many other alternative products on the market. Furthermore, I found it to be much, much better than some really popular coconut options out there. I don’t want to spoil it for you so I am going to wait until I post those reviews, but I hope that you trust me a little bit by now.
The only drawback is the fact that the fragrance is a bit strong so you might not like that. Also, if you tend to react to fragrances, then this is definitely not the product for you.
The price of the product is £15.92, but it is often part of the 2/£19.30 or 3/£24.13 offer. I did get it for less, but this is usually the best offer.
Let me know what you think! I will review the other options for this product in the near future.
