When it rains, it pours, doesn’t it? I now that I have been gone for a while and that was definitely not my intention. The last thing I want is to dissapoint all of you and not keep you updated on the best the beauty world has to offer, however I never felt so drained in my entire life. Work is crazy to say the least. I have been working 12 – 13 hour days this entire month and there are no signs of it stopping any time soon. What kept me going was the fact that I had a vaccination planned and knew it would give me a great opportunity to pick up some cute and ne beauty products however that went down the drain as well.
As some of you may know, I have been having eyesight issues for a while and two years ago or so I found out that it was worse than we had imagined, but I was able to keep it under control with medication. Since construction work started around my building I had been relying on artificial lighting as I did not want construction workers peeking inside my home plus now with the new developments, I do not get the same amount of light anymore anyways. I honestly do not know whether this was the main factor or my overall tiredness is to blame, but I have been dealing with severe headaches and blurred vision this entire year. This also led to dizziness or maybe it was the other way round?
I did get a new treatment and some things have improved, but there is still some tinkering needed. I know I will never have perfect eyesight ever again and I am okay with it, I am also okay with wearing spectacles forever, but I want to be able to see clearly enough to go outside by myself without worrying and such. But this whole thing had me postponing my holiday so yeah.
As you can imagine, this entire ordeal put a huge damper on my desire to write. I definitely should attempt speech to text again because maybe it will work given all the advances technology has made. That would be cool! Editing takes enough time as it is.
There is more, but I believe I complained more than necessary as it is. I am sure you guys have been dealing with you fair share of problems as well.
Given the above, I am surprised, genuinely surprised actually that I have not spent more money on beauty. I tend to over shop when stressed as you probably know.
I did place two orders at iHerb, one because I had some credits that wee expiring and was getting relentless waiting for another order that took ages to arrive and the second due to the fact that I had an older Jumiso Soothing Cica&Aloe serum that was getting closer and closer to its expiration date and such, I decided to give it a go.
I love that serum quite a lot, but I tend to use a visible amount with each application and as such I decided to reorder it. iHerb had it on sale so it was a given that I had to pick it up. I will write a full review sometimes soon I hope, but I highly recommend it in the meantime. You can check it out here.
In terms of purchases, I did not pick up anything super exciting. I wanted to, but now I am unsure – will tell you more about which product I have been thinking of another time, but you probably know it as it became a hot topic due to mixed reviews.
In terms of empties, I have used up another two bottles of the gentle foaming hand soap from Bath and Body Works. These products are incredible! You have to try it if you haven’t already. Yes, the sop is more expensive than most non high end ones anyways, but they smell incredible, feel good on the hands and do not damage them and a bottle lasts a long while even if you wash you hands frequently like I do. They are much much better to the gel hand washes, even those from BBW.
A product I am sad to have finished though is the Royal Ginseng Watery Cream from Nature Republic. This cream would have been great for the upcoming warmer seasons but I do have plans to repurchase it at some point. You can read my review of the cream here.
I am glad this month is close to over and I do hope that with the nice weather, better times will come as well.
Hope you al had a much better March than I did and wish you all a nice and peaceful spring!
How did you do in March?

My stash grew. I wasn’t that diligent with skincare, couldn’t layer in the morning because the cream I’m using now (Sanoflore Rose Éclat) gets into a reaction with just everything and I gave in to a promo for 3 boxes at 80% discount because the lifestyle products I wanted alone would cost more.
Meanwhile my order from YesStyle was split in 2 and the second part (with what I mainly wanted to order) has been dispatched 3 times. Customer service was unhelpful. Now 3 weeks will have passed (again) so they can’t brush me off and tell me all is in order and I have to wait.
YesStyle does seem to be slower these days. My orders have been delayed as well. I got my March order and my February order is still however to be seen.
Interesting tidbit about the Sanoflora cream. Glad you found a way to use it!
What promo? 🙂 I had been looking at various beauty boxes in France but did not come across any interesting offers
Prescription Lab had this promo. I’ll be forwarding you info when I get it.
Thank you!!!
Oh, and Goodiebox lost my parcel, so they’ll refund me but not the whole amount I paid: “Please be aware that we refund the price of the box minus the energy fee and return costs.”
I should stick with my no-buy or really go to a store for this 1 or 2 things I need to replace. They had a box you choose the contents of so I picked stuff I need and don’t have replacements for like dry shampoo which is sometimes useful but I don’t use it frequently so I buy a new one when I finish the old one.
That seems unfair!!!
