I have been meaning to try Kopari for so long. I heard so many good things about the brand. Now, I am bit confused as to how since it seems that many people have no idea what I am talking about when I am talking about Kopari. How is that even possible?
If you are one of those who have no yet heard of Kopari, then what you need to know is that Kopari is a brand whose entire range contains coconut. That is the gist of it really.
Coconut you say? Scary, right? I thought so too.
Not only I am usually not a huge fan of coconut when it comes to body care, but when it comes to face care I am down right terrified. Coconut oil on my face? No thank you?
Well, I got a gift set from Kopari via Revolve (find out everything you need to know if ordering from the UK) for my birthday and that one contained Kopari’s Coconut Face cream so I decided ‘WTH, I should give it a try’. And I did.
Here is what happened and what my thoughts are on this product.
Kopari Coconut Face Cream Review
Look, I am not a huge fan of coconut, but I was curious to try Kopari. That much has been established already. I was also pretty apprehensive about applying coconut oil or any derivative products on my face. It really seemed like such a bad idea. However, since I heard so many good things about the brand and I already had the coconut face cream in my possession, I decided to try it anyway.
Was is a bad idea?
Actually no. Suprisngly no. After applying the Coconut Face Cream from Kopari for the first time, I was certain that I would wake up in the morning with clogged and irritated pores. I mean, I have acne prone skin after all. However, none of that actually happen. Instead, I woke up with super soft and soothed skin. Yes, I know I just talked about another soothing product, but this one is different.
Like I was saying, I woke up with super soft and soothed skin after using the Coconut Face Cream from Kopari. I was in awe. I was certain that I would wake up with at least three irritated pores in a very visible and unflattering place on my face. That did not happen to my surprise.
My (non fungal) acne prone skin did not react to this coconut face cream from Kopari. It was a miracle right? No. I tried it again and nothing happened. I guess that is mostly due to the absence of Comedogenic ingredients. The website claims that there are no such ingredients at all, but an analysis of the list of ingredients shows that there might be three: Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol and Tocopherol. However, to be honest, these three ingredients are included in very low concentrations.
So far so good.
Now, let’s talk specifics. The Coconut Face Cream from Kopari is a very light coconut oil based face moisturiser. The texture is beautiful!
The face cream is easy to message into your skin and it is also fast absorbing. I was quite surprised (yes, again!) to see just how fast this moisturiser was absorbed into the skin. Furthermore, there was absolutely no greasy sheen or anything of the short left on the skin. This means that the moisturiser is also great underneath foundation. WOW!
Look, I don’t know whether this face cream does actually help reduce fine lines, boost collagen production or improve elasticity as claimed by the brand. All I know is that I love the feeling of the face cream on the skin. I also love just how soft, soothed and pretty my face looks after using this product. I just love it! For real.
In addition, my skin also looks a bit more plump after using this product, but I have not seen any major effects in the anti-ageing department. And that is to be expected as the product has 2 anti-ageing ingredients: Tocopherol and Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Fruit Extract. Both of these come in very low contractions.
Overall, I have to say that I love the Coconut Face Cream from Kopari. The product feels nice and it also smells pretty incredible. The scent is definitely not the typical coconut scent which is great for non coconut fans such as myself. Furthermore, I love how soft this product leaves my skin feeling. While I wouldn’t mind some extra benefits such as visible fine line reduction (which the brand claims it has, but I do not see), I don’t mind it either way. It is great as it is. The Kopari Coconut Face cream is a great and light moisturiser. I prefer much potent serums anyway for additional benefits.
The Coconut Face Cream is Dermatologist-Tested, Non-irritating, Non-Allergenic, Safe for Sensitive Skin, Non-Comedogenic according to Kopari.
