Getting rid of blackheads is not always easy, but it is definitely possible. However, in most cases it takes a rigours skincare routine and a lot of patience.
There are various ways of achieving this feat. A good cleanser goes a long way; no one is disputing that. But unless you take great care and follow with a skincare routine that is just as great, the results do not last. Also, this is something you need to carry out pretty much every day for the rest of your life. Then, there are more tech-y options such as this device from Dermaflash. Such devices are a great alternative to professional treatments, but also a much better option than picking at your skin. And then, there are also various products that supposedly target blackheads in particular, from charcoal based products to black masks and everything in between. There is definitely a lot to choose from, as I am sure you know. However, not all of them work.
A couple of months ago, I finally decided to get myself something from Belif. I tried to stay away from this brand, even though I was quite interested in it. However, I have tried brands that I somehow always associated with it (not related though) and hated every single product. I was quite worried I would end up just as disappointed. It just happens that I was waiting in line at Sephora (social distancing of course) when I saw the Belif Pore Cleaner Blackhead Buster on a display. The person in front of me was in the mood to gossip with the cashier so I had a closer look at the product and decided to give it a shot. Here are my thoughts:
Belif Pore Cleaner Blackhead Buster Review
The first thing that caught my attention when it comes to the Belif Pore Cleaner Blackhead Buster was not the product itself. I was fascinated by the brush. It looked so soft and so pretty, just like the makeup brushes of its kind, but better. I never really got along with that type of makeup brush, but I was intrigued and excited to try such a brush for skincare. When I saw that the product was supposed to help you get rid of blackheads in just a few minutes, I was sold.
Does it work though?
I actually does. All you need to do is apply a pea sized amount on your chin and nose area, rub the product around with the brush and wash off the product. The product does not have a strong scent and it does not seem sickeningly artificial either. There is nothing annoying about the way it smells. It does count given that you apply the product around the nose area, at least it does matter to me! There are so many amazing products out there that smell horribly and for that reason I do not reach out for the even when I could actually benefit from them. Not the case.
The Belif Blackhead Buster also heats up a bit, or at least that is what it feels like, however it does not bother me at all either. The product is surprisingly pleasant to use and you are done in mere seconds. Totally worth it, given the results. Say goodbye to blackheads in seconds. Your pores look clearer and even a tiny bit smaller. Further skincare steps can also help minis their appearance and ensure that they are less likely to develop. It sounds like BS I know, but I am serious. Products such as the Serum Repair from Dr Sebagh or even the Hylamide Pore Control Serum from Deciem can make a huge difference on clean and clear skin.
Like I said time and time again, such products are great, especially if they work like the Belif one does. However, they do not replace a proper skincare routine which you need to adhere to and go through every single day. They aid the routine, but they do not replace it. That is all I am saying!
Overall, I love the Belif Pore Cleaner Blackhead Buster and this is definitely a product I will consider purchasing again in the future once I am done with my current tube. Furthermore, this one product made me even more curious to give the brand a try to see what else it can surprise me with. Much better than the alternatives I always associated with the brand. Highly recommend this product. There, I said it.
