Well, if you have been hanging around for a while then you probably know that I don’t have the best opinion on face toners. However, I had better results with certain brands and one of those brand is Pixi by Petra. I know that I haven’t reviewed all the toners from Pixi, but I will soon. In the meantime, you can also read the review for the Glow Tonic here. Below you can find the review for the Milky toner.
Pixi by Petra Milky Tonic Review
Every single time a new Pixi Face Tonic is released, I just have to try it. The Milky Tonic was no difference. By now, I am used to expect high quality product from Pixi and so far the brand has not disappointed me.
You can guess what comes next. Yes, the Pixi by Petra Milky Face Tonic is a very high quality product. I have no complaints in that regard which is honestly a relief. It is somewhat worse when a brand that you love disappoints you, no? Luckily, that was not the case here.
Before we go into the effectiveness, let’s talk scent. The Milky Face Tonic from Petra has a mild, soft scent. It is definitely not something that irritates your nostrils. However, this scent is not created by a synthetic fragrance, well at leats according to the ingredients list thus it should be fine even for those of you who have sensitive skin.
This brings me to the next point. The Pixi by Petra Milky Face Tonic is formulated with jojoba and oat milk in order to soothe and balance your skin. I have to say that the it does that. The Milky Face Tonic is quite soothing. In fact, this face tonic is the most soothing one I have ever tried. I love the feel of it on my skin, especially when it is a bit irritated.
The product is free of sulfates, parabens, silicones and synthetic fragrances. That is great news! However, it contains at least 5 ingredients that can flare up fungal acne and 4 of those are in top 15 ingredients with one on the 5th position – Jojoba Seed Oil. The product also contains gluten in the form of Hydrolyzed Barley Protein on the 9th position. So the concentrations of the ingredients might not be that high, but I thought this is something you might want to know. I am done with the boring science stuff ( #scienceissexy & #sciencerocks).
There is not much more that I can say. The Milky Tonic by Pixi is great, it feels nice and soothes the skin. I really enjoyed using this product, but it is not my to go to tonic. I use it when I feel the need for something more soothing or when my skin feels irritated, but it is not an everyday kind of product for me at least. This is something I reach for when I need it to do what it does best – soothe. On the daily, I prefer something that refines the pores or makes the skin more glowy etc.
Overall, I can honestly say that I recommend this product and this is something that I would buy again.
