This is a really cute edit. I really love lip products and felt quite bad about my huge collection of items that I did not really get to use these past 12 months. However, I have tried to stay away from adding more such products to my collection which is why I got so annoyed at so many retailers for including them in their gifts or in advent calendars. I wanted to mention this again as I did bring it up several times so I did not want you to wonder why I even posted about this beauty edit. I feel like this is a bit different as the beauty products included are not tinted and they fall under lip care rather than makeup.
Anyway, I love the idea behind this box. I do feel like this is perfectly timed so that people can take advantage of it right before Valentine’s Day but also to take care of their lips during these cold winter months. Not that we do not need some lip care all throughout the year. Plus there is also the fact that we can use all of these items even underneath a mask or while inside.
As for the products themselves, well, it is a bit more tricky. I can get that many of you might be quite curious to try the products included in this edit. I do not blame you. At one point or another I was tempted by each and every one of these products and ended up purchasing most of them. They all looked so lovely at first, but while they were kinda good, none of the products are some that I reach for often. If you are curious to read more about these products and my thoughts on them, you can find my review of the Brazilian Kiss Lip Balm from Sol de Janeiro here and you can read more about the Silk Balm from Huda Beauty here.
I am not going to comment on the rest of the products because it has been a while. I do remember not really liking the Patchology patch, but then again, I really do not like any of their patches (I know, I cannot help it!). The Nuxe lip balm is different from the type of products I go for and like I said, it has been a while so the formula might have changed.
Overall, had I not tried the products before, I would have totally gone for this beauty edit from Cult Beauty. It looks quite tempting and it is pretty affordable. It is a cute pick me up, no question about that. However, knowing what I know about it now, I would not get it as it is not for me. That does not mean that I do not think this is a good deal and something other people might enjoy. Lip products come in many shapes and sizes, like most things really, and each one of us likes different things.
