I am back with a new shopping guide of sorts. In this new article, I wanted to share with you all my experience shopping at a beauty retailer that started becoming more and more famous as well as popular. The store that I’m talking about is Pure Seoul, a beauty retailer with an amazing selection of makeup, skincare, hair care and more.
What is Pure Seoul?
This store offers a wide variety of beauty products from some of the best brands from South Korea. From cult-favourite Korean brands like Acropass and Missha, to newer brands such as Tacobo, you can find almost anything here. In addition, they also carry quite a few brands you cannot really shop for elsewhere in the UK so there is that.

How can you shop at Pure Seoul?
Shopping at Pure Seoul is really easy. You can choose to shop either in-store but also online.
If you find yourself in London, you can visit the Pure Seoul boutique on a Charing Cross road, in/near Chinatown. However, if you are not London based or find it more convenient, you can always shop online.
To shop online, all you have to do is create an account with your email address and password, select the products that you want to purchase and then check out. They offer free shipping in the UK for orders over Β£30, but also offer international shipping at various rates.
My experience with Pure Seoul
Guys, I gotta be real with you – I’m a total newbie when it comes to shopping at Pure Seoul. But, for all you curious cats out there wondering what it’s like to shop at this Korean skincare mecca, I’m here to share my experience with you!
So, one afternoon in late March, I made a beeline for the store. And let me tell you, I was on a mission – even if I didn’t have any other business in the area, you better believe I would have made a special trip just to see what all the fuss is about.

Okay so here’s the deal: Pure Seoul has some seriously awesome Korean Beauty products that you just can’t find anywhere else in the UK. Quite impressive given the rather small floor space of the store. But, let me warn you now – the prices can be a bit steep. That being said, I totally get it – they’re carrying exclusive brands, so it’s understandable.
Now, when I went to checkout, things got a little weird. The sales associate seemed to blame me for their faulty system – like my funds were somehow insufficient. It wasn’t a huge deal, but the way they handled it was pretty unnecessary. I did have enough funds obviously but the commentary as well as trying to discourage me from trying again was definitely not necessary.
On the plus side, up until that point, they left me alone to browse without hovering. When I did try to ask a question, I got ignored. I mean, I get it – they want to focus on trying to convince potential buyers to make a purchase, but still. I was the only person actually making a purchase at that time.

But let me be clear – I’m not trashing the shop! It can happen and I have had worse experiences in other shops as well, but I do think the behaviour of the sales associate was unnecessary.
Overall, I loved the selection of products and the exclusive brands they carry. The quality of the products is top-notch, and I’ll definitely be back. If I have a larger order next time, though, I might stick to online shopping to avoid any weird checkout experiences.
Side note – a nearby competitor had a friendlier vibe, so I was a little disappointed in the staff at Pure Seou but everything else was really great. All in all, though, I’d say it’s worth checking out Pure Seoul even if for the unique products alone.
Have you ever shopped at Pure Seoul?
