How to get ColourPop in the UK

You have probably seen many services advertising parcel forwarding and at some point you might have even considered taking this route. I sure have, especially once ColourPop eh, well popped up. I did not do it and I hope you haven’t either. So do not worry. This is not a post about how you can use a parcel forwarding service to get your hands on some of the most desired products out there.

This is not really new anymore, but now you can order directly from ColourPop if you wish to get your hands on their products.

ColourPop CustomTaxes

You no longer have to worry about paying huge fees or about your parcel getting lost from being handled by too many parties. Nope, those days are long gone.

All you need to do in order to get your hands on ColourPop is to go onto their website, choose the products you want and then place the order. If you spend 50 USD then the delivery is free.

Furthermore, ColourPop calculates the VAT at checkout. So goodbye Royal Mail handling fees.

In case never had to deal with customs, no RM fees means that your taxes will be significantly smaller. I was usually charged 11 GBP on handling fees alone and the % of the total parcel value on top. That is no longer the case.

See some examples here:

As you can see, the difference in tax between the two orders is incredibly small. For 20 dollars more of product, I had to pay 3 more dollars in tax.

These two orders were placed in the last two months (April & May 2019) so they are recent.

How it was before

When I first wrote this article, ColourPop had yet to introduce the calculation of taxes at checkout.

Just to give you an example.

I had to pay 18 GBP or 22 USD in tax and handling for a 68 USD order. Now, I only had to pay around 10 GBP. That is just a bit more than most next day delivery fees.

ColourPop parcel delivery

After placing the order, the wait begins.

Usually there is not that much of a wait. It really depends on the time of the year – eg. holidays or sales. During these times, it might take a while for ColourPop to prepare your order.

My order usually shipped in 5-8 days. However, I did not mind as usually I also got a freebie as a thank you for my patience. The freebies were really worth it as well! I got products that I never thought to even try and I loved them.

Once the parcel ships, it takes another 5 days or so to get to the sorting centre in the UK and another 2 usually to be delivered.

The parcels get delivered by Yodel in the UK.

Overall, I usually had two wait two weeks or less to get my hands on my ColourPop orders. That is pretty great considering where the parcels are coming from!

As you can see, now you have no excuse not to place an order. If you really want to get your hands on ColourPop then there is no better time to do so.

Hopefully I answered all your questions. However, if there is anything else you would like to know, then please get in touch with me or leave a comment below.

Now, I would probably get started on those reviews as I have close to two hundred ColourPop products waiting for me to write about them…

ColourPop Products reviewed

Which product from ColourPop would you like to see reviewed on BS?

Glad you found it helpful. They donโ€™t really do that in the US either though. The products are exactly as described online though. The pigmentation is as shown as well. I have close to two hundred products (which I desperately need to review) and none were really bad. There were a handful that were not my favourites but nothing really bad.

Colourpop reviews are literally always my favorite to read! I don’t have anything from there but from reading everyone else’s posts they sound amazing. Can’t wait for your review. Just from the pretty packaging I’m excited!

I will do my best. They are definitely on my content calendar. So stay tuned ๐Ÿ™‚ right now there is only one review of CP and that is of the Bu the Bushel lippie balm. I do recommend you check that one out. It is linked at the end of the article or you can find it under makeup.
