The Glossier ZitStick is finally here

You probably all know about my relationship with Glossier. There have been products that I liked, others that I loved and some that I do not want to see ever again. However, there are some that I have been wanting to get for a long time just to see what the fuss is all about. Okay, probably the fact that one said product was not available in the UK might have something to do with it, but the wait is over. The Glossier Zit Stick, yet another cult products from the brand, is finally available in the UK after a long wait.

Here is what you need to know.

Glossier finally launched its best selling acne saviour product across the pond. Why the wait? We never had to wait before, well not since the brand launched in the UK. So why did we have to wait around one year this time around?

The answer is pretty straightforward. The Glossier ZitStick was formulated using theย dry agent, benzoyl peroxide, which cannot be sold without a prescription in the UK. And since there are no ways around it, we had to wait. We had to wait until Glossier reformulated the product, that is.

The Glossier ZitStick available in the UK does not contain benzoyl peroxide, but instead the product has been formulated using tea tree oil, 2% salicylic acid and a derivative of this ingredient – caprylol salicylic acid. All of these ingredients are meant to fight your fight against zits without damaging your skin.

So while the product is still as easy to use as the version we have been accustomed to seeing on social media, the questions is now whether the products is just as effective and worth the money. There are after all already many other products formulated with salicylic acid and tea tee oil to fight against zits on the UK market.

Curious to see how the Glossier Zit Stick in its new formulation compares? I am as well.
