You must hate me. I hate myself right now, but with so many new beauty offers, how can I even think about posting a new review? When I decided to start this project, all I wanted was to share my limited knowledge and information to make lives a tad easier. That also includes showing you ways in which you can get to enjoy the things you like without spending all your disposable income aka posting you in the direction of beauty offers such as this one. However, since this platform is not all about shopping (even though it seems like it is some days) I try my best to share with you my thoughts and short form reviews on the products that are part of a promotion. Hope it counts for something.
Okay, before I get any sappier than this, let’s see what the latest beauty bag from Revolve looks like.
I know I mentioned this like 8987878 times, but for those unfamiliar with Revolve there are a few things you might want to read or know about. Yes, Revolve is an American retailer and yes, the parcels are shipped from the the US. That should not deter you though. Not only do parcels arrive in around 4 working days in Europe, but you also have various ways to cover tax and custom fees.
If you are in the UK, then you basically do not need to worry at all. Prices included taxes and everything else. You also get free shipping if you spend £70. More about my experience with having a Revolve parcel delivered to the UK here.
If you live in the EU, things are a bit trickier, but not by much. You need to spend $100 for free shipping, however you do need to pay taxes. In order to facilitate the process, you can choose to pay said taxes upon checkout. This makes everything so much easier. However, you might need to fill in some forms in order to get your parcel super quick and ensure no held-backs at customs upon the parcel’s arrival to your country. It might sound daunting, but it is not. It is really not.

The new beauty bag from Revolve is priced at £88/$100 and has a value of £230/$320. Not the highest price/value ratio we have seen in recent days, but a nice one nonetheless.

Revolve has released several beauty bag already this year. From all of them, I have to say that this has to be the best one yet. Sure, their offering might not be as exciting as that of other retailers (most of the time, at least) however their beauty offers are still worth having a look at. The beauty and magic of Revolve, for non US folks at least, lies in the fact that you get to enjoy beauty brands not easy to come by in Europe. At least that is why I like the shop so much. Sure, their customer service and delivery has been really great each and every time I had to deal with the retailer, but the products were a joy to try and it was quite interesting discovering brands I had only seen on IG previous or in small independent stores at a significant mark-up.
I thought this would the one, the day where I told you I have not tried any of the products included in this kit. Not going o happen though. I did try one – the Ilia Mascara. As such, that is the only product I will talk about. But first, a disclaimer. I am bad with mascara. It bothers me, it annoys me. Having it on my lashes is something I try to avoid. I am quite sensitive when it comes to mascara, in short. Over the years, I found that certain primers make my experience better or that certain mascaras as quite special, but I have to say that the Ilia one was not one of them. I thought it would be amazing as it felt lighter somehow, the brush seems like it had quite a bit of potential but in the end, this mascara was just one of the many I cannot wear. You might think differently though. I actually believe you will have a different experience with the product. There are many things that are in the product’s favour – texture, applicator… so why not?
I have no real comments on the other products. I find them exciting and definitely different. They are not quite what I was expecting, but then again this is Revolve and they are a bit more out there, more outrageous in a totally good way, when it comes to their products. BTW, that was my polite way of saying they are less boring. This is what I was talking about above. These bags from Revolve typically contain products that I would not necessary go out and buy even if they were available. There is not a whole lot of such products here, but there are still some products from brands that I have not been exposed long enough to jump and buy from when in need of certain products. I would try them though when in the mood for something different. Okay, I am going to stop now as even I am getting lost in all this babbling. I do not even what to know how lost you are. Ooops.
There is no point to even talk about how cut the beauty bag that houses all the above products is. It is adorable and there is that! 😀
Overall, I am quite tempted to give this bag a go, but I do agree that there are some other kits out there right now that might appeal more to those of who you are looking for “serious” (just kidding), for high end skincare products instead.
