Comments

Okay, so this box might not be at the upper end of the “luxurious” category, but it is luxurious nonetheless. Personally, I find the contents to be more relaxing, similarly to those included in the Selfridges Relax & Unwind beauty bundle. The content of this box was definitely thought out in such a way to make your life better, to bring some joy and calm into your life. Sorry! It sounded like such BS coming from me, but I do honestly believe the beauty products included here rather than being considered luxurious, can prove to be very relaxing. Not sure how a relaxing night in looks for ya, but this is how it looks for me. Okay, besides watching all my favourite tv series or spending time with family, but you get what I mean.

A relaxing bath, a nicely scented candle, a face massage and a full body skincare routine…. this is exactly what this box offers.

Product wise, the L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream is a classic. The hand cream is thick, it is moisturising and does a great job at repairing skin and leaving it feeling soft. The scent of this cream is beautiful, despite it not being one of the “fragranced” hand creams. It is not a cream I enjoy using everyday, as like I said above, it is thick, it leaves a bit of residue and when at the computer (which is pretty much where I spend my days) is not that suitable or advised, for that matter. But when not, the hand cream is just right.

I don’t have the best relationship with this Works. There haven’t been all that many products I liked from them in the past. All of that aromatherapy stuff and the herbal scents are not really my kind of thing. I tried and would have loved for it to work, but most herbal scents are not my cup of tea. However, the Body Cocoon cream is one I do enjoy using. I love how it is light, how fast it absorbs and to my complete surprise, I did find the fragrance rather relaxing and a bit less annoying that most other similar scents. Maybe my tastes are changing *shrug.

You all know that I could go on living without ever seeing anything from Eve Lom ever again, but since I was subjected time and time again to the cream cleanser and to the balm, I am curious to see what the capsules are like. Plus, I never ever tried a cleanser in capsule form. If any of you tried the capsules before, do share your thoughts below. I am particularly curious if they have that weird scent as the rest of the cleansing range from this brand has.

The GHD Bodyguard is not at had hair protection spray. Also, I love how it adds a faint, yet nice fragrance to your hair. I feel this product even adds a bit of volume rather than just protect your hair. And protect it does. This is the most important bit. Each time I heat style my hair I use this product and so far, I haven’t noticed any damage. I also apply it when blow drying my hair ( if I do not forget). I am actually pleased with it.

The Elemis Night Cream is pretty great as well. It feels nice on the skin, it absorbs rather fast as well without leaving a greasy residue behind. However, despite it doing a great job, it did not impress me. Maybe this is one of those cases where my expectations are absurdly high, but I just wished for something different if not more from this cream. It is a good product and it is one I would buy again, but I don’t know …. I am just not feeling it. Argh. This is so hard to explain πŸ™‚ I really won’t blame you if you think I am crazy. I sound like a crazy person right now.

I don’t have any comment son the other products as I haven’t used them, but overall, I like the look of this box quite a lot.
