Okay so the first thing that most of us probably look at is the value vs the price of the box. The value is not that incredible at first, at least the numbers are not but when compared to the price you get something that is more than reasonable. I think it is more than fair, at least.

However the value of this box lays in the contents. The contents of this box are some of the best we have seen in general from Cult Beauty and especially during the last half of year or so.

The Then I Met You Calming Tide Gel Cream is one of my absolute favorite moisturizers. It takes some getting used to the very liquid texture but it works so well on combinations and oily skin in particular. It offers both some level of hydration but clams the skin and does not make it greasy. I truly love this product and it costs more than the box itself! If you haven’t tried it then now is your chance. However I do find it a weird choice for a January box. the moisturizer like I said is not the most hydrating one or protective for colder months. It is my to go to during summer months .

The SPF from Supergoop is also my absolute favorite SPF ever even if the protection factor is not as strong. In terms of texture this is the nicest SPF product I came across and one that I truly do not have applying. The texture is smooth and the product glides on the skin like a primer and does not feel sticky or leave a white cast.

The Niacinamide Glow Drops from Glow Recipe is also an odd pick right now. The product was included in the advent calendar which I know that joe very one purchased but many CB shoppers have. The product is alright and it is different than other Niacinamide products on the market so you might just enjoy it if you hated the classic Ordinary or equivalent versions. It is more gentle and the texture is overall nicer.

I could go on, but you get the idea. This Ultimate Skin Edit from Cult Beauty is truly a box you need to try. You do not have much to lose but you do have a whole lot to gain.
