Are you looking for a new addition to your beauty routine? Look no further than Blissim France. As a beauty blogger who cares deeply about ensuring my readers get the best value from every purchase and make informed decisions, I was excited to try out this subscription service.
In this post, I’ll be sharing my first impressions of Blissim France, including the selection of products I received in my first box, the quality of the items, and the overall experience. Keep reading to find out if this subscription service lives up to its hype!
Before moving forward, I would like to kindly thank O for letting me know about the existence of this subsection service and right in time for me to grab their December box at a major discount!
What is Blissim?
Blissim is a leading online retailer of beauty products, offering a wide selection of makeup, skincare, haircare, body care and fragrance products and of course their staple – the monthly subsection box.
However, while the name may seem unfamiliar to some of you, its previous name will sound way more familiar.
Blissim, the number one beauty box in France, has an interesting history. It was originally a subsidiary of an American-based company called Birchbox. However, after breaking away from its parent company, the French subsidiary changed its name to Blissim.
I thought it looked familiar when I first saw it but decided to hold back from reading about the history of the box until I actually got my hands on it so that I would not be influenced in any way, shape or form by online materials :). I am weird like that.
Okay, now that we have established what Blissim is or rather who Blissim is, let’s talk a bit more about the experience delivered by this subscription box.
The Subscription model
Blissim’s subscription model allows customers to receive a curated selection of beauty products each month based on their personal preferences and needs. The company offers a range of subscription plans, including monthly, quarterly, and yearly options. Each box contains a mix of full-sized and sample-sized products from well-known brands as well as emerging ones.
What’s even better is that you don’t have to order in advance as the boxes rarely sell out and you can order your first box after it is already released and ready to be shipped. This way you can see what the current month’s box contains before making the investment.
How to get more money from your subsection?
Related to the previous paragraph, you can subscribe only after seeing what the contents are like so that you do not end up with products you do not need. Furthermore, with the option of cancelling after one month, you do get to “see in advance the content” however many times you want.
Also, the company runs many promotional offers for new subscribers aka you can get an extra box, or a promotional price each time you decide to subscribe or resubscribe.
The monthly pay-as-you-go subscription is more expensive though so there is that to consider before going down this route.
This is not the nicest thing to do, but it is an option so I am not going to hide and pretend there is not. It is up o you whether you decide to go with it or not.
If you’re looking for a beauty box that is delivered in a timely manner, The Blissim Box is definitely worth considering. In my experience, the boxes arrived within 5-7 working days after placing the order.
The Blissim Box
Upon receiving the package, I was surprised by how carefully and thoughtfully it was put together – from the packaging itself to all of the products included in my first box.
Okay, so the Blissim box in terms of design is pretty identical to the one we have gotten accustomed to seeing from Birchbox for the past 5 or so years. The box has the same shape and it comes with a small drawer design. The overall appearance of the box differs only in terms of print from one month to the next.
Blissim Beauty Box Contents
Blissim delivers 5-6 beauty products in full and special sizes. The box includes a combination of makeup, face care, body care, perfumes, hair care, trendy and lifestyle products. Each month subscribers receive a curated selection of high-quality products from well-known brands.
The selection of products in Blissim France is really diverse.
Blissim is also committed to providing its customers with green and sustainable options. Their website features a range of green and made in France products for those who want to make conscious choices about their beauty routine.
The products come in full and sample sizes, with the average product count being larger than most other beauty boxes. This makes it a great option for those who want to experiment with different products without having to commit to buying full-sized ones.
By being a subscriber you also get access to exclusive deals and promotions, as well as tutorials on how to use the products. And each subscription gives you points that you can then use in the Blissim shop to grab some of the items found in your beauty box at even more affordable prices. Yes, the products usually are already discounted for subscribers but with the points, you can get them for even less.
Okay, in terms of products received in my first box, I received the follwoing:
Blissim December Edition Box
- Davines Minu Shampoo – deluxe size
- Erborian CC Crème SPF25 Clear – travel size
- M.A.C Lipstick – deluxe size
- Solinotes Hand Cream – deluze size
- Innisfree Intensive Hydrating Serum with Green Tea Seed – deluxe size
- L’atelier Côme Bracelet
As someone who recently received their first Birchbox, I was surprised to find that everything about it felt incredibly familiar. It wasn’t until later that I realized that the box I had ordered was actually the new version of a Birchbox box. Nevertheless, the excitement and anticipation of receiving my first subscription box was just as thrilling as it would have been if it were truly my first time.
Upon opening the box, I was greeted with an array of beauty products from well-known brands that I absolutely love so this only made me even happier about my decision. It was really nice to receive products even in sample sizes because this allowed me to test out the items before investing into a larger size and them being from ohm of my favourite beauty brands did not hurt either!
Overall, I am very impressed with The Blissim Box and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is considering signing up for a beauty subscription box. It offers great value for money and quality products.
The same was true about Birchbox as the retaler always offered not only local products but also products that were available in their other markets and usually not available for retail in the country you would get your Birchbox from. For example the British Birchbox box as well as shop offered US brands not otherwise available. The same thing is applicable to the French version of the now Blissim box. This makes the box even more appealing to me!
I look forward ot my future boxes that is for sure!
Overall, Blissim is a great subscription box for those who want to keep up with the latest trends in beauty while saving money by trying out sample sizes before committing to full-sized products. The box also offers great value for money when compared to other boxes on the market. Plus, the customer service is very helpful and responsive – which is always a plus when it comes to subscription boxes.
So if you’re looking for an affordable beauty box that isn’t too hard on your wallet, I’d definitely recommend trying out Blissim! You won’t be disappointed.
Exciting news for UK customers! A British version of Blissim is expected to arrive soon, so keep an eye out. Don’t be sad about the disappearance of Birchbox from the market because it looks like Blissim is coming your way!
Have you tried Blissim before? What di you think? Are you expected about the upcoming UK version of the box?
