Selfridges Project Earth Beauty Bag 2.0

If you’ve read yesterday’s post then you know that I started feeling a bit remorseful for spending a small fortune shopping despite not intending to spend any money. I shouldn’t have gone shopping if that was the plan, right? Well, I was also freaking out (for no good reason), but still…I did not want to tell you yesterday why, but I am ready now – I just got my first dose of the vaccine. I am doing really well and hopefully thing will stay this way aka no swelling, no pain, no nothing.

Anyway, I am no longer mad at myself for spending a bit too much money in Sephora, Stradivarius, Pull&Bear (never shopped at the last two before, if you can imagine!) etc. Spoiler alert: this month I spent more than the “allowance” I obtained so far given my amount of empties. Hopefully things will change, but then again Selfridges decided to surprise us with a new Earth Project Beauty Bag so my chances of spending less and using more product are diminishing as we speak. Before making a decision and considering the case lost, let’s have a look at what the new Selfridges Project Earth Beauty Bag 2.0 has in store for us.

Comments

I don’t know about you, but I am quite happy to see a new edition of this beauty bag/savings kit being released by Selfridges. Not only do I love the idea behind these beauty bags, but you can also explore new products from brands that are supposedly nice to the environment.

In terms of products, there are quite a few nice products here that are worth at least a shot. You all already know my love for Sol de Janeiro’s Bum Bum cream so I won’t even begin to go into details about the product here, instead I liked to my review above. Then we have the Coco&Eve hair mask which is perhaps the best hair mask I ever used. I am serious! It does wonders to the hair, leaving it soft and nourished. It is a joy to use and it smells incredible. I have not yet formed a definite opinion on the Nursen hand cream, but I kinda enjoyed it the few times I used it. I also liked the Bioessence Lactic Acid Serum. the NudeStix, the Davines products (more or less) and the REN Skincare Toner is also pretty high quality, but not my favourite. The Face Halo feels really nice and it is pretty good quality. It does not feel as cheap as I expected it to feel, but I am not head over heels about it either. It sure makes things easier, but I feel like a regular cleanser is a better solution, at least it gives me more peace of mind.

The rest of the products I have not tried.

As you can probably tell, this bag is (luckily) a pass for me. There is nothing wrong with it, but I have or had too many of these products and I am more interested din trying and discovering new stuff when I purchase one such bag. However, I do do recommend giving it a go. There are so many goodies inside and at that price is a no brainer, especially if you are looking for something new to try.
