Latest in Beauty: Fabulous Awards Beauty Edit

Latest in Beauty is back with another one of their collection boxes. You all know just how much I love these. Not only is Latest in Beauty a great choice for subscription boxes, but they customer service is actually top notch (speaking from experience). In addition, they keep coming out with collection boxes on top of their regular subscription service which always managed to introduce me to some amazing products and brands. I do admit that I am fonder of the more luxurious edits, but they are all pretty alright or include something that makes them worth talking about. Always, let’s see what the Fabulous Awards Beauty edit has in store for us.

This new beauty box from Latest in Beauty is not necessarily my type of box. When it comes to this retailer, I am more fond of their luxurious edits as I said above. They do make it was to get value for your buck, I will say that. Speaking about value, despite this box not being quite the thing I normally go for, I love their inclusion of more full sized products than not. Now, how rare is that?!

I have only tried two of the above products and have one on my wish-list for months now. The products I tried include the Batiste Dry Shampoo (who hasn’t tried it?). Batiste is honestly the best drugstore provider of dry shampoo. No question about that. Not only are their products affordable but they actually work. However, some do work better than others. While this classic version of the product is quite a good one, I am not head over heels in love with it. I found that it does work quite well and does not came with an obnoxious fragrance like some of the others, but this is not the one I grab when in store. They do have better options such as the Heavenly Volume one, but this one is lighter and works for more types of hair.

The second product I tried is one I desperately need right now, as in stat. The product is Dots. I tried the patches from the Hero Company (one kind is reviewed here), but at that time it was not easily availble in the UK. When I spotted (no pun intended) Dots on Amazon, I went for it despite having no clue whether they ere any good. How else can you discover something like that if not by trying? They were new at that time as well so reviews were not available either, if I recall correctly. Anyway, I tried them and I have to report that they work. They are affordable compared to other such products on the market, especially when compared to effective ones, and that makes them even better. You get both effectiveness and you also get to keep some of that hard earned cash.

The product I have been meaning to try is the one from Garnier, but since I haven’t (yet, hopefully) I will keep my trap shut 🙂 They seem like a great addition to one’s vanity and having been released by a more mainstream brand and as such more easily availble, they do have the potential to attract more people to switch. Sad, but true.

Overall, I think this is a good box, if not great. It is full of products for everyday use and does provide quite a bit of value, especially if you need what it contains.
