Latest in Beauty is back with a new collection box and so I am, talking about it that is. You know how fond I am of Latest in Beauty and I rarely miss an opportunity to talk about the retailer.
We may have started on the wrong foot, nothing major just some technical difficulties and such, but in all fairness they were just starting their business, however the past 3-4 years they have been nothing but great. Unlike some, they did not make me feel like a criminal when I emailed them that an item from my box was missing 10 days post delivery. They did not need o go through a long-a** investigation unlike others… I was pleasantly surprised and my relationship (one sided as it may be) developed further.
Anyway, this is not about my relationship with the brand, but about their latest beauty box. Well, their collection beauty box as they still have a monthly subscription option as well. Let’s see what this new collection box is all about, shall we?

As soon as I saw the products, I could tell that this was a mid range box. They are advertising the box as super luxurious or that is what I gathered from the marketing, and it is, but it did make me have some different expectations. I have been looking forward to a new super luxurious box from them such as the one they released last winter and this is not quite there, but still much closer than perhaps any other box has been this year this far.
I actually haven’t tried any of the products so I won’t comment on them. However just by looking at the products, I can tell this is a good box. The products are more than reasonable and the balance between makeup and skincare is just perfect.
Personally I do recommend this box, but I won’t be getting myself one. Too complicated with all the third party services and all that… I am waiting for something a bit more impressive or at least on par with the expectations I came to have from Latest in Beauty, particularly of their luxurious boxes. Once again, I do want to stress that I like this box and think it has much potential. It might have come across differently, but no, it is not the case. I just don’t want it or rather need it all that much right now.
