Iconic London Lip Lustre Oil

I am back with a new review. Today I am going to talk about a product that I got as part of the Style Beauty Edit released by Latest in Beauty.

You all know I am trying to stay away from lip products as much as possible this year as I have more than I know what to do with in general, let alone now. As such, I was not super excited to see that there was a lip product in the beauty box, but I changed my mind rather quickly when I realised it was a lip oil and a clear one at that. The Lip Lustre Oil from Iconic London in clear is also aptly named ” Out-of-office”‘. I just had to try it after that.

Iconic London Lip Lustre Oil Review

As I was saying above, I was a bit reluctant to try the product when I first leant about it, but that quickly changed. Now, I am glad that I did as otherwise I would no be able to tell you about it.

The Lustre Lip Oil from Iconic London is quite thick for a lip oil, but sill less thick than a gloss. In terms of texture, I have to say that I am quite fond of it. It is just right. Furthermore, even more importantly, the product is not super sticky. There might be some stickiness initially, but once applied that kinda goes away. Your lips do not stick together. It is like each lip is individually coated with something the feels a bit gummy. In this regard, I would say that it is pretty similar to the Gloss from Glossier. However, it is less thick than the gloss from Glossier.

So texture, level of stickiness and overall feel are definitely something I can get behind. No issues as far as I can tell.

In terms of scent, taste – the product is coconut based so it smells pretty nice. I would not say that it makes you want to lick your lips, it does not taste that great, but it is not an issue anyway. It is not the kind of product that makes you want to eat, but it is pretty nice nonetheless. That is what I am trying to say.

However, let’s talk about effectiveness. Does the lip oil from Iconic London really leave your lips hydrated and smooth? Smooth? Definitely. I am not entirely sure about hydrated. I mean, yes. Your lips are definitely more hydrated, but not a huge bunch. However, I dig it. I truly do, but you most likely already reached that conclusion by now

The one thing that I do not like is that this product requires frequent application. But we cannot have everything, so I can live with it.

Okay, so overall I pretty much love this Lip Oil from Iconic London. It is an easy product to use, it feels nice, has a nice fragrance to it and it is perfect to use while out of office. It is not a product that I see going waste. I already used about a quarter of the tube.

However, yes, there is a however. When isn’t there? The Lip Oil from Iconic London is not cheap. That is one of the things that makes me like it less. I was not expecting it to be super affordable, but it would have been nice for it to cost a bit less. But, the real issue I have with this product is that it is so similar to the lip gloss from Kopari. The Kopari gloss is very similar in texture, nearly identical in scent and also incredibly effective while significantly cheaper.

But if Iconic London is the way you choose to go, then you would be making a great choice nonetheless.

Where can you purchase the Lustre Lip Oil from?
